Connection Timed Out/NetSteamNetworkingSessionError_ClosedByPeer on consoles

As soon as we hear or figure out anything, we will let you all know for sure. It's a strange issue, since we haven't done any updates to consoles and this doesn't reproduce at all using PC. To give some info, I have a Canadian VPN that I can reproduce the issue on an Xbox retail console, but doing the same thing for PC doesn't reproduce it. We're going through the paces trying to figure out where this suddenly decided to go wrong. Current conjecture is it's some server down the line from Epic which only affects a small amount of games/services

Really appreciate the transparency here, I know there's no major update here but it's really nice to hear that yall are looking into it and that it's a strange issue. My first thought was that this had something to do with the new PS5 update but since it's also happening on Xbox... hmm.. Either way, best of luck! I hope this gets resolved soon, thanks again.

Thank you for the reply, as long as your being transparent about the issue, I'm sure the community can hold off, but yeah it's a weird issue for sure as it was working just fine, and then poof, nothing.

If i play beta (dowloaded digital copy i bought)i get the error and cant connect to anyone. If i select stream it works fine and i can connect peer to peer.

PS5 Canada East Coast

Doesn’t work on xbox we uninstalled and reinstalled but still getting that error message

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it does nothing to help. I'm on Xbox . I guess it's just a waiting game now. Also you wouldn't lose your game if you did uninstall and reinstall on Xbox,im not sure how PS5 works though.

I sent you the image i have two options on ps5 play beta which ia the download copy on my ps5 or stream the game from ps servers. If i stream i can play peer to peer.

Also i can load my peer to peer game me and my friends have been playing , intial load is slower but its a work around for ps5 users

If you have the highest tier PS Plus membership, you can stream you game from the PS servers. For some reason this is working as I'm the one xRackemupx was testing with. He said he sent you a message on the forum with a image.

If you have the highest tier PS Plus membership, the host player can stream the game, then invite other players and it does work, I can confirm. We tried changing Regions in the "Play Beta" version of the game with no success.

I can confirm this does work. I was the one testing with XRackemupx. We also tried "Play Beta" and region changing with no success. If the host streams the game, then invites everybody else and it does work. I have no clue why this works, and it still sucks for people without the highest tier PS Plus membership.

The mods are rude AF to most people with issues one mod was like that's what you get for playing console. Telling people to eff off and just being rude to the community altogether. I was just over on discord and saw the same rudeness you're talking about. The one mod who told someone to F*** Off.  I left the channel. I don't want anything to do with ignorant people like that.

Yeah he told me to eff off for saying I put in a ticket and EOS isn't claiming an issue. It's not affiliated with the fun pumps at all it's just a fan based discord but it still looks really bad that the mods treat ppl poorly. I wasn't the only person they're being extremely mean too there's like 4 different mods that are just being rude to anyone .

 
I tried when got home and same issue.

Wondering if there is a way to run internet via my laptop and vpn. 

I did with mobile hotspot but man connection was crappy. 

 
Finally got in.  I un-installed and reset it.

Didn't work the 1st try and left it but went back again 30 mins later and got in.

Hey we were just able to load into a coop game on Xbox. I'm in East Canada the person loading in to my game is in Chicago. Just thought you would like to know that as of right this min we didn't receive an error and he was able to successfully join my game.

We just got in too but we didn't uninstall today , I did yesterday though but as of now we are able to play together lol yay. 

 
We also my group of 3 (xbox series x) just been able to join each other ! We did uninstall and reinstall too.
