BorderlandZ - Let's get the Fun back to GunFighting and Looting!

To be more clear,

0.2.5 Exp 1 should be 99% Savegame compatible with 0.2.4 stable,

but still Inventory items could get changed somehow or Quests can bug out.


So make a copy of the
Mods and your Savegame folder before updating, to fallback when things got damaged and you want to go on playing on your old save!

Just a thought .. Like I said earlier .. have Fun is one thing .. but being to hard is another

Only changed that for Iron bars and Frames. So they will shoot through Wood Frames when they slowly destroy Wooden POIs.

Either Torgue weapons can shoot through that AND Zombies too, or neither, because it's internal the same kind of "weapon type"...

Its vanilla thing. Even previous alphas. Cops spit would go thru some blocks.

it's because the "splat" damage is >1 block (I think 3-4)

edit: okay, I've checked this in the code (you can do this too, ingame in a BorderlandZ Game, hit F1, and type in "exportcurrentconfigs" then you get the complete config xml files for the Game. Vanilla + BorderlandZ.

Then open up item.xml and search for "RadiusEntities" that's the Explosion/Splat radius for the various Explosive or Vomit attacks.

You will find:

1) Vanilla Cop (normal, feral, radiated) : 1 Block -- Vanilla

2) Torgue Weapons : 5/4 Blocks (brass/steel ammo)

3) Rockets : 4/6 Blocks (HE/Frag) -- Vanilla

4) Exploding Bolts : 4 Blocks -- Vanilla

5) Pipebombs : .... 13 (!) Blocks (yes it's got heavy increase ;-)

6) Dynamite : 3 Blocks

7) Molotov : 9 (!) Blocks (also a good increase!)

8) Puker Boss : 3/4 Blocks (normal, feral) -- this is since 0.1, original Robeloto Value

9) Shocker Boss : - (removed by me)

10) Burning Man Boss : 3 -- since 0.1 -"-

11) Red Fire Boss : 5 -- since 0.1 -"-

12) Big Vulture Boss : 4 -- since 0.1 -"-

13) Screamer Boss : 3 -- since 0.1 -"- (what?? these are ROCKETS. Need to increase that ;-)

14) Gunner Boss : -

15) Fire Elf Boss : -

16) Aqua Boss : 3 -- since 0.1 -"-

so nothing has changed since 0.1 guys. The only thing is they got more damage and can now shoot through Bars and Frames, as people wanted the Torgue weapons shooting through ;-)

or in other words, if you think Cops are shooting though solid walls, this is an Vanilla Bug (that is an old one too).

Did you make a Stable update ?? I didn't see any notes of it .. Just for Exp 0.2.5

Because after you install Experimental and play .. quit and come back .. they are gone. The game folder is there on your drive, but has dropped from the launcher and the launcher is asking for a reinstall _ like it has never been installed yet .. Sphereii is saying it is something to do with links or config.

Sorry gpcstargate, you should come over to the Discord, this is already known and a Workaround presented there...

Was too late for me yesterday to write that here too...

If you miss your old BorderlandZ Installation on the ModLauncher,


this is because I renamed the Versions to be better recognized.



Please go to your Install Directory, there you will find these still there;



Close ModLauncher and then rename these directories





BorderlandZ_Stable --> BorderlandZ_Stable_v0.2.4_A17.3
BorderlandZ_Experimental --> BorderlandZ_Experimental_v0.2.x_A17.4



then start ModLauncher again and you should see your Versions again!

nono gpcstargate, I think you have misunderstood what I meant,

the old naming wasn't clear what version it was that you're playing, and now as I even need a third one, I had to rename them to make it better to be understood.

But because of that renaming, the ModLauncher won't recognise the old names anymore.

The Fix is, to rename these Folders you have locally on your computer to match the new Names, like I have described above.

After doing this, you will see your version again in the ModLauncher.

Good idea maybe can add mod automatic shotgun like AA-12 or USAS-12 is fun kill zombies lol
try Gunzerkin with a Shotgun ;-)

that's full auto no reload fast ROF shotgun firing ;-)

but yes, could propably add that...

you sure you are playing on 0.2.5stable in the Mod Launcher? That got the 0.2.5 pictures on launch day already...

propably you have the 0.2.5 experimental installed? (though these both are feature wise identical)

I'm getting an exception where one of the assemblies is trying to instantiate windows GDI stuff on the dedicated server with the latest experimental v0.2.5Exp2 (after it generates the world). I overlaid mods/data/7DaysToDieServer_Data from the repo over a clean and working 17.4 install. I did have an earlier experimental from a few weeks ago working on the server.

Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for System.Windows.Forms.WindowsFormsSynchronizationContext ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for System.Windows.Forms.ThemeEngine ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for System.Windows.Forms.ThemeWin32Classic ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for System.Drawing.KnownColors ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for System.Drawing.GDIPlus ---> System.DllNotFoundException: gdiplus.dll
Edit: It looks like the exception is non-fatal. The server still seems to continue to run after.

Hi. I'm playing with version v0.2.5 and I do not get the amount of experience I'm getting. I see the experience bar accumulated by level above the shortcuts but not the message in the lower right every (for example 700 xp).

I do not have any other mod installed.

Do you know what the problem may be?

yes. it is removed by the Mod ;-)

but I will try to make this configurable for 0.3 (not in 0.2.6 though because that will be a bugfix release only)

Thanks for your quick response.

It would be good, as you foresee, that at least it was a configurable option because it is the best way to know if you have killed a zombie. xD

and exactly this was the reason it was disabled ;-)

btw, you have the Hitpoints-Visor to see if a Zombie is dead or not! ;-)
