You broke one of the main rules of the game: never get yourself cornered. They took advantage of your predicament and whooped that butt xD
Found it, heh.

I had to test this (the utility and businessman doing 300 vs 150), because it didn't make sense. I can back this up! Ouch!As for the charged zombies, they all hit for 150 (on insane) except for the utility and businessman, they hit for 300.
I can think of 2 reasons. Your armour was below 50% and not low enough (33%) to tell you they needed repairs. Or they were utility/businessmen zombies that hit twice as hard as the other blue zombies. Or both.Go heavy armor if you want to go all in on melee...but even that isn't enough at times. I had a few times where I would get absolutely tagged by a blue zed and go from full 200 HP down to 40. Not entirely sure why exactly.
They both have a damage bonus attached to them directly that makes them deal double damage of their hand item. I'm sure at this point it's an oversight they forgot to remove. @faatal can confirm/deny this though.I had to test this (the utility and businessman doing 300 vs 150), because it didn't make sense. They both also hit harder for their infernal versions too. My guess is this isn't intended? Why would those two zombies hit twice as hard as any of the other zombies? They are officially the most dangerous zombies in the game now (by far).
In my case, it had to be the latter. I just found out about that nuance (bug?) with those particular zeds the other day.I can think of 2 reasons.
