CAN Someone Please tell me what it means or should I worry about loosing another Base to the Game .. At the moment my doors are flashing in and out if you turn your head in one direction or another .. That started happening with the my last base before HALF of it disappeared.

But I never got this message, before it went. Thank You

I'd like to see quest POIs not repeat until you've been through each one once.   Even if that means I'd need to travel a distance.  Right now, I get the same 2 or 3 tier 5 quests, I assume because those are the only tier 5 POIs close enough to the trader to be selected.
Not just T5's, but T3's as well. All too often the trader(s) sends me to the same 1, 2, or 3 POI's that they have sent me a half-dozen times before. Perhaps after you loot a specific POI, there should be an invisible countdown (in in-game days) until you can receive a quest from that individual POI again. That would probably cause some further complications though.

Edit: T2's and T3's, aka the bulk of POI's

Absolutely.... I only called out T5 because thats what I'm currently doing and there are so few of them to begin with.

THE trader? What about the other two? Do they also send you to those same POI’s. By time you are doing T3 quests you should have three different traders offering T3 quests. Are they all sending you to the same 2 or 3 locations? If the same few POIs are spawning in three different cities then that is a deeper problem. We are supposed to be getting more unique POIs and less dupes.

Yeah I had trader bob in the desert & I think trader Jen both sending me to the shamway factory in the wasteland and I think it was Jen & rekt both sending me to the apartment building (the one I haven't done yet).

So yes, different traders sending us to the same places.

Why can't you do it at night?
I can & I have (had to in order to complete it) but then all the zombies are runners since it's night & I somewhat try to conserve ammo if I can.

No complaints, just amazed & impressed one location can take so long to complete.

..........Oh wow, they revealed the new stripper zombie on the steam store page.  Looking good!

Yeah she looks good....but she is replacing my topless nipple pierced zombie.....NOT COOL FUN PIMPS!! 😁

Nah, it's probably a coincidence. For some reason some traders in a lot of worlds I've played in have a habit of sending me to the exact same individual POI over and over, sometimes at a time. (One such example back in early A19 was a trader sending me to the same house 5 times in a row. Got kinda boring.) I find I get quests for the same twenty houses but rare for any of the commercial buildings, but hey, that's probably just a coincidence and not a "deeper problem". Probably just me.

The Compo Pack has an airport, and it's one of the more nasty (and time consuming) places to visit. It's valid as a T5 quest. A lot of work went into it by its author.

There are some department stores, but I don't recall seeing an actual shopping mall (indoor) so we can play Dawn of the Dead.

I do wanna eventually try out some mods. I'm just still enjoying the superior PC version over the console (ps4) version.

So vanilla is still exciting for now.

To clarify, if my world has 4 traders that I regularly take quests from, I begin to pick up on what POI's each one sends me to. That bunker house on a gravel path out to the East? Trader Rekt will probably send me there. (I'm basing that off of an actual experience.) Again, it's not every time, and as you graduate in tiers, the lower tiers decrease in opportunity, but sometimes the game is rigged against me in terms of variety. 😛

Is that the place in the desert? I forget the name of it but rekt just sent me there too if it's the same place you're talking about. (Navezgane map)

I haven't done it yet but it looks interesting.

@madmole or @faatal , guys could you please make a special console command for FOV regulation? In settings it will be normal - from 50 to 85, but in debug mode I would like to change it for example to 20. I think it will be good option for movies

Absolutely this. I wish there was a bit of code to stop getting quests at the same POI again & again  (I tend to concentrate on Tier 3 quests on set maps such as Pregen3).

Further, I wish the quest descriptions showed the name of the POI in the trader quest list . For example, instead of :

  • [TIER II] Fetch/Clear (861.1 m W)
  • [TIER IV] Clear Zombies (4.6 km SE)
there would be :

  • [TIER II] Fetch/Clear at Old Spanish House (861.1 m W)
  • [TIER IV] Clear Zombies at Burnt Business 1 (4.6 km SE)

Honestly, if I were in front of some members of TFP right now, I would give them the following advice (not picking on them, just a helpful gesture): leave people in the dark. If they hypothetically nerfed shotgun damage by a further 10% damage, instead of informing the community and leading to doomsday claims, or holding back the numbers and releasing a flat statement ("we nerfed shotgun damage") and thus cause more unwarranted speculation and rage, they should just... not say anything. If people notice it, they shouldn't acknowledge it. One thing I've learned in life is if you make any kind of change that might stir up some unwarranted controversy, just make the change in the dark and walk away whistling casually. Just food for thought. :)  Again, not complaining about this change - in fact, I'm going to walk away from it and assume it's exactly the same as before, even if it isn't.

Anywho, back to conventional A19 talk.

Now, for another topic. I went upstairs and pulled up the wood frames (intending to install a ladder system) right in the brink of time, seriously!

You are assuming we care that there is controversy. Some controversy is fine, it gives you guys something to do in between alphas.

We're constantly sprinting forward, caring about what a few guys on a forum say is like thinking about an ant you might have crushed half a mile back on your jog... no you don't think about that, you are looking forward, breathing hard, sweating and focused on the finish line. Sorry but some ants may or may not have got smashed in your jog, but the main thing is you completed your jog and reached the finish line.

Did a quick Tier 5 quest test at trader bob's (desert, Navezgane Map) and was able to get clear quests for Skyscrapers 1 through 3, the hospital, and 1 of the factories using the "givequest tier5_clear" command so it should be possible to get more then the factories as T5 quests.

Reading over recent forum talk why all this debate about stealth being underpowered? Should we really be able to stealth everything? Stealth is a roleplay choice, 7DTD is a roleplaying game. There's not much roleplay in a min/max style. I may choose to be a Dirty Harry toting revolvers in a suit with cigar in mouth if I want. That's my roleplay choice. This game gives us these choices. I don't care if my revolvers are inferior because I'm having fun kicking the apocalypse in the ass as Dirty Harry. Does dirty harry need to min/max? No, because he's badass. Badass players don't need to min/max. Do people who min/max really think the game is so hard they need to push every stat to it's limit? Geez, have some fun. Play it the way you like, use what you find fun, wear what you think looks cool and and learn to succeed at it.  When you die and die you will, leave a tombstone that reads "Dirty Harry survived 80 days with revolvers at his side and cigar in mouth, R.I.P dirty Harry."

Meanwhile many days later Min/maxer walks past DIrty Harry's tombstone, reads it and think to himself, who am I?

Dirty Harry echoes from the grave:  "You're just numbers punk, still alive but still just numbers, be someone kid, be someone. You're gonna die one day, but who are you gonna be, do you even have a name?"
I totally agree with this. Min maxing is natural, yet the most unnatural thing to do to your game and is assured to kill the fun after the first time or two. The fun is building a memorable character who HAS character. It is mostly pre RPG people who bought it for survival, zombies etc. The people now coming on board buying it for the RPG factors seem to love what is possible with the perk system and the role playing you can do. I'd call it a light RPG, but just like with building you can build a box to live in or a castle. You can choose not to role play, or do some very creative things with it, that = fun game play.

Styx's whole thing is role playing whether he knows it or not. He still min maxes, but he self imposes some things that make the game fun for him. The same can be done with role playing. Limiting what guns you use, deciding what food you are allergic to and can't eat, maybe you get too hot in heavy armor or it's itchy. Maybe you are claustrophobic, or need to have 4 concrete walls to sleep. Maybe you are a total nomad. Whatever you choose, it helps make each play through unique and fun.

I can fire up Skyrim, after 9 years and 1000's of hours and as long as I role play some new stuff I haven't done 20 times before, it can turn into a lot of fun. Once I start min maxing it though it goes to crap quick then I want to quit or start  new character.
