That's fine by me, I like a bit of weird@toban -- If you see a zombie coming directly at you out of your back yard that wants to eat your face quickly turn around and bend over.
Would be awesome if faatal could make them jump and float back down simulating short bursts of flight. Would make them more distinctly different than rabbits. That would be awesome, they would be much easier to kill than hiding in the grass.

Red banner above. Can someone point me in the direction of the bug reporting thread. I tried looking for it, but I can't find it. I have a duplication bug to report. We looted a storage chest and then it refiled immediately. We can provide a clip of it if needed. I just didn't want to bombard the forum with our video.
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced traders dropping through the floor?? Twice now on a ded server we’ve had it happen and seen by all players. Trader Jen falling through the floor so only her head shows at floor level and the treehouse trader, trader joel???, falls to the ground next to the workbench. You actually cannot interact with him in his usual place, you have to go to him by the workbench so it isn’t some graphical glitch. I don’t want to add more work for the testers so don’t want to submit a bug report until I’m sure it’s a bug. Never had this happen before A19.
Could always make the chickens and rabbits "leap" or bunnyhop when fleeing from a hostile (not idle). Will be far more immersive and hilarious, especially if the chickens squawk when they leap away...That would be awesome, they would be much easier to kill than hiding in the grass.
That makes sense, but I had a thought: using the chair example, you'd likely need some sort of small function to check certain basics, like whether there's already a player using that chair when another player tries to use it, etc... but couldn't you extend such a function to check for valid placement & rotation, and the needed adjacent space for the animations to avoid clipping? If the result isn't valid, it could inform the player with a "You can't do that right now" message. Anyway, just a thought!I've been pushing for some of this kind of stuff for years. We want to make it so that NPCs can sandbox around and use various work stations at their base so trader Bob is pounding on a work bench or something, once that tech is written we can possibly extend it to players, or at least modders can do it. The problem is all the weird use cases I suppose like if a user puts the side of the chair against a wall or another block then getting into that seat might clip geometry and push the player into the void. We would have to make chairs "multi blocks" to avoid that, then you can't use them as intended and put a row of bar stools against a bar, etc.
I think it is too close to Christmas now to do a short build, so we'll just do our normal thing and it will be done when it's done.Madmole,
I now began to play "proper" A19 and having a blast. Zombies kill me, Clubs are awesome, im constant starving and yelled a loud "whooohooo" when i found my first firearm because they are so rare. Im loving it.
Question about A20.
If i recall correctly you said it will be a rather short/quick Alpha for Content filler like Pipe-Guns and alike.
Is it still that planned to be this way or might A20 get a bigger scope/longer dev time?
(really eager to see the junk drone)
Okay, good to know.I think it is too close to Christmas now to do a short build, so we'll just do our normal thing and it will be done when it's done.
What I relief ! I thought for a second you meant "when it's done". Thankfully it was "when it's done" instead. You promised. No going back.I think it is too close to Christmas now to do a short build, so we'll just do our normal thing and it will be done when it's done.
@madmolei was curious of something, how come there was never medium armor? with toughness you can get away with no armor alright, then we got heavy and light, but no medium, im just curious, been having a morrowind binge and felt like asking
