An "electric whip" for the INT tree. 🤠

Would also have a bonus vs. animals and maybe if they introduce it could be THE tool for animal taming...  :deadhorse:
And electric massage devices? That's a whole new line of equipment but I'm not sure of the gameplay loop there.

Them? Do you mean the PREGEN maps or the 4k maps?
both!

and they work!

Why are you torturing yourself with only 8GB of RAM? Upgrading to 16GB costs next to nothing.
this is why

@madmole Topic aside. Are the level designers considering making gigantic "1 time spawn" structures (ex: airports, mall + cinema rooms, military airfield, hypermarkets, big warehouses)? I truly believe the game would take an insane leap with it's immersion with these "common" places, that make the player feel like a tiny ant in a ravaged world.

Seeing a real scale mall, overgrown, looted, stores shut down with metal grates, decrypt, missing/flickering lights, filled to the brim with zombies that can come from anywhere would make up for such an interesting expedition, especially with the new lighting system. Just imagine the main area of the mall, multiple floors, with the giant skylight window letting the moonlight in, zombies wandering, some hiding behind closed stores, and being able to search through the very guts of the mall (that we aren't allowed access in real-life) is just great to think about.

Though i'm not sure how that would be possible to add without mauling everyone's FPS.
I do believe there is a mod for that, Cap00 has a video on it. Suggest looking into it

I'm going to finish the base in creative mode and then I'm done with this world. My game crashed a second time and, once again, my character files were deleted. 😕

Today I went south and found a ladder leading to the top of a water tower so I went to the top. No loot but still glad I did because there was a Dire wolf ahead and would have run into it had I not stopped.

Hanging off the ladder and 20 something stone arrows latter. I dropped it and I got some good meat. :)

I agree a complete rework of the skill tree is a bad idea. It's fairly good to be honest, and it gets to a point where the system will never please everybody and there's always going to be debate because it's one of the only games where there can be debate. Not because choices from the dev team are worse than other's, but because we get to talk with the team and be read and even answered to. No other game, as mighty as it might have been, has had me feel this close to the dev team as this one. I've probably gotten more bang for my buck timewise reading forums than playing the damn game, that says a lot.

Ultimately, there's many more things that need work and just like a dark mode seems like an easy and cool feature for the customers, it's always about measuring cost & time vs utility. How much are you delaying various other features in order to push that one ? I'd rather see legendary loot, better quests and bandits than being able to tap myself on the back knowing the skill tree was reworked yet again because the community had heated debates about it. When is the A20 dev diary coming again ? 😅

If the loot has respawned so have the zombies. Said survivor is one of those zombies...

I think most people finding the weapon/tool loot repetitive need to change their expectations. There's tons of good loot to be found, like meganoth said. Maybe looting gun safes & shotgun's messiah isn't the best plan early game, but there's tons of value looting other POIs in the search of books, mods, schematics and recipes.

Side note, we found a treasure map and the treasure chest was locked, is this intended ? 7000HP of metal with stone axes was painful, especially after having spent all the time digging it up already (that being said, the 6000 dukes inside felt good 🤑)
Yea it's intended and I for one am not a fan. Now granted I always travel with lockpicks but if I did a treasure and then had to bust that thing open with a stone axe I'd be pissed.

The most gamified version is... basically god mode movement.
And also the BEST one. Nobody wants to learn how to pilot a pesky helicopter when they invested 2094875209874350 resources in it and dozens of hours to build it. The only tradeoff should be "gamey" tradeoff (enemy threats, damage, fuel).

On day three I went after my second supply drop. Unfortunately, it landed in the burned forest and there where two bears practically sitting on it. One zombie and one normal.

I snuck around but they would not leave. So I decided to throw a stone. I still can't believe it worked. It never did before. The bear went after the stone which left me free to collect the loot. :)
