Nice!  Was it gamesparks analytics or was it Jawoodle's over the top reactions? 🤣
What weighed the heaviest was our lead QA's opinion. ;)

I haven't even seen Jawoodle but I'm sure his reaction was over the top period. =P

I just hope the ammo doesn't get replaced with stone arrows LOL...
Stone arrows? Are you crazy?  You'll get a sharp rock and you'll like it!

What's that needed for? I've never needed to do that in past alpha updates
occassionally, somethings have remained behind and caused glitches. it is just the safest way to prevent that. sinc alpha 9, I have had it glitch 3 times going from a new alpha. usually from old maps left behind

A pre-sharpened rock so early???

I guess I can m** all the easy stuff out.  :)
1. You said the banned word. 😛 Censor it before madmole sees it!

2. I honestly might play 120 minute days for the first few days in my world just so I can spend time to stare in awe at the lovely new visuals. 🤣

resist the urge!  Try 60 minute first for the vanilla challenge and then do 90 later.

Yep, the downfall of the streamer weekend. I've even seen a few streamers say it should have been released for streamers on like Wed and then Friday for everyone else so people could play over the weekend
When the streamers get it has zero bearing on when we get it. We will not get it right before a weekend. TFP wants all staff on duty for bug fixes etc when the release happens. It will not happen before a weekend, period.

How can i opt in to play Alpha 19? and what time (uk) can i do this and play?
According to what Roland has said, no earlier than 12:00 CST.

So maybe 6pm BST, I know you pain :)

As they want to do another build and bug fixes that were found the in streamer weekend.

OUTDATED: To anyone who might know this (this is for a semi-unrelated experiment I'm about to conduct), I want to ask you, does the length of day influence days alive (for gamestage). Ex. Will I get less gamestage through days alive if I'm playing on 10 minute days vs, say, the default of 60 minute days? Or will it result in the same amount of gamestage received since the days are still actually passing?

UPDATE: So according to the changelog, the player difficulty will no longer influence the rate at which your gamestage increases. If this remains true, then I've found out what difficulty they've went for to be the default. Grand Spartan was on day 21 and was at level 37 and at a gamestage of 62 (minus a few points because he died twice) in one of this recent A19 streams. I put myself on adventurer difficulty on a creative test world in A18, got myself up to level 37 on the nose, and set it under DM to x496 speed so that days only lasted a couple minutes, and waited around until day 21. My gamestage ended at 66, similar to Grand Spartans, and because I had no deaths in that world, it worked out. It seems that in A19, your gamestage will increase at an equal rate as if you were on Adventurer difficulty in A18, which is the semi-new default difficult. That's one mystery solved.
Adventurer is default for A19, same as it was default for A18...

Right click 7D2D in steam and goto properties, then goto the beta tab and search for A19(there are previous alphas in there too). Once you click ok it will download through steam. When stable comes about you must opt out in the same menu.

From the videos I've watched the "panic" music, or whatever it is, is really annoying. the yellow haired zombie just looks weird, kinda looks playdo colored or something. Overall it looks great, pretty excited based on the performance comments from the streamers I've watched.

Has anyone tried to piece together what Pregen seems best pertaining to number of POI's?

With minutes per day, 120 feels more realistic to me, as 60 minute days has a surreal feeling.  Its definitely easier, so I usually don't gimmick anything to try and balance that out.

Maybe it IS all a dream and so surrealism is exactly what TFP were aiming for.  You awake in Part2, in a world where you cant chop through reinforced concrete with a stone axe.   :)
