I think let the people do that quests or clearing the POI however they choose. You will never be able to fix every way of cheesy a POI, if I am desperate for a weapon, I will take the shortcut, Like I had to do recently.
Sorry, but this seems too much like a quick and dirty solution to me.Oh you can, but have fun smashing a 100k hit point titanium steel block or whatever it is.
My own personal experiences while testing a rebalance mod I made.Really? I looked at the wikis before posting but there is very limited info on infection, and honestly not sure if the information there was even up to date. Do you have a source for this?
We're moving the stripper to the console versionHey guys! I'm from the console crowd and have just recently procured a good enough laptop to run the PC (definitely superior) version.
Totally loving it & can't wait to dive into Alpha 19.
So did I see correctly and they are changing the stripper zombie!!??
NOOOOO!!! Censorship sucks!! Leave in the boobies!!
It's where you poll a bunch of nerds for their opinions.WTF is "nerd polling"!
well i got me in-game!

Can't let users place 800000 polygon blocks bro.
I use my shotgun to open safes faster than the best auger in the game. With the new lockpicking candy you are guaranteed to open on the first try. I'm not saying miner 69r isn't a great perk, it is. I'm just saying there are ways around it that are overlooked. I've already accumulated more cement than I will need on day 28, I've got my horde base 100% r concrete so I don't know if it was worth it. Only if I'm building a super big structure do I think I need all those perks. When we get trader hotels in you can finally be a pure nomad and honestly I don't think I'd mess with mining if I was doing a pure nomad build. A good impact might shred a safe pretty fast too if your maxed perception and salvage operations. Just saying there are other ways that are probably ignored. But Miner69 also improves the shoveling up of resources in POIs!
And Miner69 should get you better tools earlier than finding them in A19 (except for quality6), which depends on miner69 as well.
And opening doors and walls (and sometimes safes) is still very important to everyone, including looters.
So much depends on miner69 even for a looter. I'm playing one, don't build excessive forts and I still see this perk nearly as important as my primary weapon skill.
I may be misjudging it's importance, sure, I'm very interested what telemetry will show in A19
I just don't agree with that method. For traders, sure we don't want players screwing up the traders, but in a POI, maybe people want to blow the whole building up? Or maybe they want to grind through... that is their choice. Taking away their choice when it really doesn't impact others feels cheap. Maybe they lost the key card zombie and still want in there somehow... let them grind I say. If I want to use 50 breaching rounds to get in... my choice. Why not just put the same protection on it as is on the trader POIs, even use the same high pitched NOPE noise when hit so a player immediately knows exactly what's going on, and that they cannot break into it.
Can that effect be applied to just one block? I'd imagine so, or if not then someone could make it so. Then it would need a key to open, or maybe an event trigger, like killing a boss, etc.
This is going to be nice. Hopefully not too expensive to rent a room. When we get trader hotels in you can finally be a pure nomad
Wow, who cares what people you haven't talked to in a few years think? I happen to like your posts. If I cared what people think I'd have never done anything great. That was because I received a few private messages from a couple people I haven't talked to in years (not on here), stating that they did not want to see my messages on this forum any longer. (I've said a few regretful things in the past, but I'm trying to repair damaged ends.) Out of respect, I "deleted" all of them.
Edit: Out of respect for those individuals, and also due to the nerdpoling argument that took place yesterday (I don't do well under stress I suppose), I will seldom interact with others around here. When A19 hits, I do plan on posting a post under General Discussions where forum members can discuss A19, such as what their first blood moon horde was like, that awesome POI they just looted, etc. Other than that though, and other than reactions to some of the dev's posts, I will be taking a step back.
Why? Because we say so. Its an abstract. Go try to bust into a safe IRL and see how far you get with a sledgehammer or pickaxe. I think we're talking about teir 5's not a crusty old house. We haven't decided for sure, we've shared some shop talk. What actually happens could be nothing, or sharks with laser beams attached to their headsSorry, but this seems too much like a quick and dirty solution to me.
Why would a 100k hit point titanium wall be inside (e.g.) a family house to protect a special loot room?
Who put it there? Was the house repurposed by bandits as their lair? If so why didn't they pick something better and had to add such walls in a crappy house?
If there's no explanation as to WHY those special walls are there then yes, it's just a "I don't have time to find a better idea" - idea.
I get it, you just want some way to make going for the dungeon the easier/interesting solution... but IMO that's not the best way, both lore-wise and gameplay-wise.
You can get the same result by making the chest/safe a heavily reinforced one (e.g.: 20k) and then put parts of the code to open it scattered around the dungeon POI.
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!![]()
Is there any plan to change how all of the < whole blocks are placed, such as preventing pillars/plates from being able to float on top of one another or "stick" to the invisible sides of others? I know they're technically whole blocks and that's why they do it, but still the levitating blocks is really tacky looking. I'm not losing any sleep over it for sure, it's just one of those silly things.
YES!!! Lets have those sharks with laser beams.Wow, who cares what people you haven't talked to in a few years think? I happen to like your posts. If I cared what people think I'd have never done anything great.

Ah, that documentary was much too serious for my taste.*Cough Sharknado Cough*
This would be really coolWill many/all of the new POI's in A19 be available as quests from the traders? (Ex. the ranger stations, the stores, etc.)
One of the oldest bunkers is the one with a small shed out front, a colorful metal fence out back, and inside are a simple kitchen, pantry, bathroom, and a bedside/changing area with a gun safe at the back of that room. (I can provide an image if needed.) Is that POI still in A19? I want to settle up inside of it early on, just to tick it off my bucket list.
