We have shadows from dynamic lights, just depends on if they are enabled for the light. Torches cast shadows, but some lights like flashlight blocks are probably not set to do that.
Yeah, okay, I was too hasty. I see now that both torches in hand and torches in the world cause shadows. Once I saw the flashlight didn't have it in the screenshots, I figured it was turned off for all block-based lights, so that players' computers don't have a meltdown when they do this.*

* I have a good excuse for that screenshot to exist, by the way. :) The Great Block Conversion of A16 turned the roof from an A15 save into torches.

 
I believe madmole stated that there will be no side-effects until people get a taste for the candy first.
It's very important to get the customer hooked before you start cutting the product.

Just wanted to comment on a previous discussion on "stomping enemies"...

First thing that comes to my mind is Dead Space, where stomping on enemies was a relatively good tactic (not only dismembering, but also killing downed enemies). At one point i even used stomping so much to conserve ammo that i was swimming in it...

Eh... I can still hear Isaac grunting and moaning as he exerts himself, trying to put his boot down... ;-) Ahhh... Honey to my ears...

 
By the way, is this a new static zombie, or did someone just kill this zombie?Or maybe it's a new zombie crawling?

We replaced the old corpses and have a few more variants.

 
I'm sorry... I know I am always picking on Bethesduh, but they got something special they didn't deserve with the id team. I swear if they mess them up, I will shed tears for the remainder of my days.
I've heard Bethesda is pretty hands off, so if id goes under its their own fault.

 
Speaking of army trucks, is there a chance their loot table will be updated in the future? Currently they are... quite underwhelming, not gonna lie. Some canned food here, a piece of lead there... :p
No, they are unprotected, and way better than car loot.

 
I think the big animation goals are to get some specific mocap we have sitting around hooked up, like zombies crawling through 1 meter openings, climbing through windows and such. So a hole at feet level a hole at eye level, and climb up to a hole above eye level. Kill moves are cool until you've seen the same one 50 times, but zombies getting to you in new and interesting ways is a much better use of these talented guys time and will challenge players much better and make 1 meter holes the start of a much larger problem which is a 2 meter hole.

You mentioned awhile back about a new spawning system in the works. Is it coming to A19?

MM, sorry if this has already been answered in one of the 120 previous pages ... will be a Katana-type weapon?, its great and y see the movement is very similar of the current hammer ...

can you change or incise people on the team/party. Now is 6 can you incise to 10 or more in the next game update.

And if you know when resale officially alpha 19 ?

Yeah kill moves can get repetitive, but if it is a special attack the player has a choice to use or not I think its better than one that is forced upon the player under certain conditions, which seems to be the norm for them. But you make an excellent point, giving the zombies more different animations is also time well spent.

Are you also going to be looking into the crawlers and their animations? Seems they often get stuck on objects or start to fly when they do their lifting up animation to get over objects, sometimes also resetting back to where they started because they could not get over the object.

No there are 3 tiers of all weapons, so we have bone knife, hunting knife and machete. Maybe down the road if we do weapons dlc.

We only support 8 players. 19 is coming when its done.
