Hey, can we get some kinda recipe to turn wood into paper?

Maybe find the book and have to do it in workbench or fire with a pot or something.

just tried out the agility build for like a couple of hours the archery perk is pretty good I wont lie the bows feel much better to use now I know that people may say that "you can find bullets all over" BUT with a lvl 5 wooden bow and some iron arrows it kicks ass and honestly getting feathers are easy all you need to do is get a point into huntsman which im pretty sure you could go without needing the extra stuff and that's it hunt down vultures to get all the feathers you would need

overall the archery build Is very excitable and fun to try out and im happy that archery got a pretty big buff now (:

paper is already crafted with wood and some other things already I haven't really found it hard to craft paper just need like 1 glue 1 murky water and 10 wood I think then bam 10 paper seems fine where it is for now

Noice... I should have looked first, lel.

You can always put down a new CB as they are easy to make now, when I place a storage chest, campfire & bag I always put a CB.
Like I said though, I had not even begun to think about a base, as I was only (barely) 4 day's into the game. And I play a self imposed 'dead is dead', so I never place a sleepingbag.

Thank you ! I really wanted to know what it was like to play an archer in A18. You made me want to try on my next adventure ;)

yeah i love the new bows. (mostly the wooden bow)

Welcome to stable. I found a pink brass knuckles last night on day 24 or 5. Sorry but we're not raining purple candy, it plays nice. Craft that stuff into something better or keep looting you'll get better stuff as the game progresses.
Mr. Mole,

i really welcome this new Method/Balance. Now at level 12 at saw the first green Item ( Leather Chest ) and its a lot more challanging and also motivating.

We (group of 3) now really fight about every item that is just slightly better as the one we are wearing at that time.

Its a blast and we are having fun with A18 like probably never before with the game.

Very good Job done to you and the whole of TFP.

I know this is 20/20 hindsight but. This is what I

learned to do. First because every alpha injects a

wicked little easter egg. I prepare for worst case

scenario game wise.

Daily, and or before I go to a trader,

I zip my save and world folder. Using winrar and best

alg it is pretty small. Next I take note of the distance

and direction my poi is from the trader.

Example: If the trader is 1.5km southwest of me. I will

not take a clear and or a fetch from them that is 1.5

km north east of them. You are rolling the dice. I will

take every other job.

Second this is a personal pref and this is only because

i'm playing SP, I don't have loot respawn, or airdrops ever.

There are more than enough cities and pois on my map to

suffice per playthrough.

The above is a good preventive maintenance, for corrupt

ttw or region files, power loss during gameplay, region

reset, poi reset, and some of the "bugs" for disappearing

loot. If i don't have one of those, I play till time to

start over and delete, rinse and repeat.
Yeah, I do the exact same thing. But I only ever use the savescum if I encounter what I consider to be a gamebreaking bug, and as annoying as it is, I cant really consider this to be 'gamebreaking' and it's kinda barely arguable as a bug, as I guess the quest needs to setup the dungeon somehow, and if the POI has already been run, its not really providing much of a challenge.

I should have realized that it would reset the POI, I have seen previous POI's graphically glitch when the marker is activated, but not having previously run any of these POI, I had never realized it was actually resetting the entire thing, loot containers and all.

From now on I will be 100% sure to drop my keystone at any POI I hang my hat in as soon as I dump my valuable crap in a chest. lesson learned (the hard way).

I must say though, it'd be great if there was another (more passive) way to achieve this result without having so much control over directing potential POI's for quests, but I really cant see how it could be done, especially if considering multiplayer servers that have been running for ages.

@madmole buried supplies quests are too easy, don't you think of adding spawn to zombies before the treasure is found? After finding the treasure, I just run away from the zombies.
Sounds like you need to pop the zombie speed up to 'nightmare'. It makes those buried stash quests... interesting, and the loot suddenly becomes 'extra special'.

Until you wrench it or a zombie blows it up lol....
Yeah, then you are frantically scrounging for wood to make/pop a chest down to shift over the loot from the backpack that suddenly appeared.

(it's far from being called 7 days till the ejected loot drop disappears) ;)

For some reason it felts like gazz had a hand in it. Like 100000% chance for the next 10 picks to break if the 1st breaks between 95% and 100% lol
Nah. It only increases by 5% for every lockpick you have <10.

Holy cow, you can do that? I have tons of vitamins stacked in my chest never using them. Now I can test the bounderies of what is and is not edible. Might zombies be new lifestock?

Oh yeah for sure, I use archery even without points into it. I've gotten lucky with level 4/5/6 wooden bows every run, and I can pop heads off in 1 hit sometimes. It's great for distance shooting for a bit of damage at start, and I can backpedal while shooting some before I switch to melee/pistol.

On the other hand, I've yet to find a compound bow that has better stats than a wooden bow...

Is this the cause? :

ERROR: Shader Shader is not supported on this GPU (none of subshaders/fallbacks are suitable)WARNING: Shader Unsupported: 'Hidden/Nature/Terrain/Utilities' - Setting to default shader.

I have it, and seen it in other logs. (my card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)

This then probably causes the console message:

**********

That might help:

"OK, this is fixed by adding the standard terrain shader to the build. Project Settings -> Graphics -> Always Included Shaders. Add Terrain/Standard."

^ THIS

Inexplicable FPS drops are still a thing, as is the error above in A18.1e b2. Please review the easy fix in Damocles link.

i had my fair share of snarking in the past before i got my acc deleted.

Now i try for a 2. time here and try to be more positive. But A18 makes it easy for me. Its really a beautiful piece of work.

As for the name: a week or so there was a guy named Guppys Slur or something like this and i kinda jumped on the Bandwaggon^^
