And this is probably the best argument against *how* they do streamer weekend...
People have jobs, go to school, so by releasing on Monday you're really saying "y'all masses don't get to play until next weekend... sure, you can load it up for a few minutes to check it out but your real time is still a week away".

Streamer "weekends" could be moved up a day, and maybe if it looks good enough, release to the masses on Sunday...
Yes i am at work tomorrow and will be all week so the game comes out next weekend for me. Stayed away from the streamers because i do not want any spoilers so its been nither but torture for me LOL

Will not say any names will let them tell it how they wanna if they wanna. But watched someone play that has been around for probably A1 or so and admitted that where they are in game right now they are glad LBD is gone. Keep in mind they love LBD.

It never effected me but thought I share with those that like LBD that maybe it will give ya hope or something.

Feedback so far.
Brawler feels weak. Might just need to perk up or get used to it but atm I find it pretty hard to use.

Spears on the other hand with zero perks or skill are AWESOME!

Looting so so damn fun I have done zero building so far.

Junk turrets are great.

All the added info the game tells you now is FANTASTIC!

I can turn shadows on and the framerate is good. That's HUGE!

Now back to play the best alpha to date. Kudos fun pimps.
You miss your request for Sledge hammer in power mode should go full swing downwards.

All the arguments against streamer weekend is for the most part silly. Most people came across this game from a streamer playing it, so giving them something as minor as a weekend to play before alpha releases to everyone in return is fair. It also allows the team to fix any major bugs Monday morning before the masses get it.

The only valid argument is in most cases streamers work from home, so giving it them on a Wednesday and the rest of us on a Friday or Saturday would be better as that gives the masses a chance to get play time in before School/Work week starts back up.

Edit: Well dang just seen Guppy kind of say the same thing a few post up lol.

BUG FOUND: You can place the early game pocket mods in armor/other clothing (than pants, shirt, and jacket) if you drag and drop the pocket mod into the cosmetics section when modifying the armor/other clothing. The pocket's effect works when this is done.

had already reported and being worked on. (also... it applied to most mods not just pocket ones)

Thanks

Odd monday is actually awesome for me since I work tons over the weekend and monday is my day off. I just thought they released it then for me. :)

The bug in question: Are you really supposed to get 450+ gas from a car with an iron pickaxe? :p

Edit: Also in the stream, Games4Kickz was getting radiators, engines, and batteries from cars when hitting them with a pickaxe. Is this also an oversight / bug? :p

Imho hitting a car with a pickaxe should have a chance to spark and explode, or set off an event of a horde of zombies being attracted by the noise.

Problem solved!

Originally, for A18 specifically, I was not a fan of streamer weekend because A18 has been the most tested build so far. I thought that the vast majority of bugs had been found over hundreds of hours of playtime, and that a few streamers were unlikely to find any impressive ones.

Faatal's post about all of the bugs found and fixed so far on streamer weekend has convinced me that this 3 day event is actually necessary and beneficial to the community. One of the bugs was related to an FPS drop, which would surely sour many who try to play the game if it had been left in for the public release.

There is a difference between a streamer playing the game and a bug being reported on the forums. The bugs found on stream are accessible and reproducible; they are video-recorded events watched by up to hundreds of eyes. Grumbul even had a small effect on graphical changes being implemented to the game, which have been well-received. In short, the public is getting a much better game just a few days later. And we would be none the wiser if there had been no streamer weekend at all, and we just got the game we saw on Friday.

People who are complaining because they would prefer the alpha to be released on a sunday... Just think that TFP gives it to you 6 days before a sunday. That's awesome.

I thought that was why the game come out on experimental first? I do not really have a problem with it and understand it its just i have not had a good game of 7DTD since alpha 16 because 17 bored me and never played it. I have waited this long to play it so suppose i can wait until next weekend to get my hands on it LOL

OK. we both dont use AI cheese so we prb dont care either way.
I just feel like if it is an easy fix, it should be looked at.

Zombies should be a threat and here they just look silly... xD

(would have been a turn off to see as a new player)

he can just add a few iron bars to protect from vulture / spider,

and if the demolishes AI can get stuck running in a loop as well, never hitting any block,

then this kind of exploit can be viable far into end game. :p
They weren't stuck, some got to him, some fell through, some were beating the crap out of his foundation. That design isn't going to be viable without traps/bullet hosing.

I am not talking about all that cool stuff. I'm talking specificaly about Food Poisoning and why do I think putting chance of Food poisoning to late game elaborated foods gives no real reason to make them, rendering a HUGE amount of food items useless.
Just making late game food with 0% chance of Food Poisoning like Mineral Water would be enough. Or at least 0% With Iron gut. 0,000000001% won't do, because We'll just make Bacon and eggs period.

Also, I stated some alternatives to food depletion in that previous post.
Why pick it apart until you've tried it? Stop being a stat junkie and play the game. There is a x% chance your going to barf eating your next meal IRL but you don't know it and it doesn't stop you from eating it.

Higher calorie meals already have a less chance to puke because you roll the dice less.

I still think it is a bug though, with the gas. What's the point of increasing the fuel tank in vehicles if you get much more gas from vehicles than you used to, so that it evens out in the end? You were definitely not getting 500 gas from a car in A17. (Again, maybe I'm missing something, and I'm willing to accept that I am.)
I think the big nerf is in the gas barrels. You used to pick them up and have 600 gas. Now they are a loot container, and often empty. I agree that gas coming from cars hasn't been nerfed from what I've seen, but I think the overall availability is less, and you have to work for it now. I watched Kage loot a military camp where I used to find enough gas for my entire playthrough, and he didn't find any.

I'm not keen in the way the spoilage works, but understand it, and yes, going to wait to see it in action.

To me, it seems kinda backwards, yet also does make sense.

Canned stuff sitting in high heat etc for who knows how long. Should a chance of it being bad.

FRESH food, should be zero chance.

However, if you've had bacon'n'eggs in your backpack for a week, well.. Yeah, yer gonna get sick.

Still would like the option for canning, as well as iron stomach. I know I could mod it it over a pot of coffee,

(it's just adding recipies to the xml after all), BUT, where to put it be the question.

I'm thinking a book that teaches you (again, should be easy enough to add that).

Mind you, I'll probably do the idiotic damage amount mod first before something more realistic like canning.

(I'm ex-artillery, I want BIG BOOMS!) heh-heh.

However (again) the food poisoning effect, yep. That I do like. Yes, you will have no stamina if you have that.

I speak from experience there. (probably why I "don't" like the concept of it)

:)

this build must be pretty bug free considering there is only 5 posts in the A18 exp bug thread

release the KRAKEN

giggle giggle

I agree. But you didn't get 500 gas from cars in A17 (nowhere near that, to be honest); now in A18, every car is basically a gas barrel. :p I mean, maybe I'm wrong and it's perfectly balanced, or maybe this is a bug. :p

Adds more depth to combat. (altho alittle weird when a zombie goes nuts when they damage themselves on cactus lol)
Is it though? If you stub your toe in the morning when you are groggy, I think it A Wakes you up, and B Pisses you off.
