The issue was that you could in the past, craft 1000 stone axes and then buy perks that would open up making concrete.
It was incorrectly labeled "level by doing", and although the REAL issue (being able to buy perks to make concrete because you spammed stone axes) was never really addressed, they found it easier to scrap "lbd" entirely.

...which is why a lot of us poke fun that they'd rather remove a system than fix it.

The irony is that now it's "kill 1000 zombies and unlock concrete". :) .

Eh. I say lock technical things (like concrete or...a forge) behind a book. ;)

yes I did, and the vultures were a mix of pukers and regulars. regulars on horde night gave feathers. but from your vid I couldnt tell which was which. it was more action packed. so didnt take the time to really focus your pov on ooooh a dead vulture while things were attacking you.

it is why I asked if the puking vultures were harvestable

I wish that both zombies and animals would be the main threat. cuz animals are just like a little treat. that's another reason why im excited for alpha 18

 
Don't like multiple ways to do things. I have 17 jugs of acid piled up, we need more uses for acid not more ways to get it.
This one is tough. Trying to think of something that will require use no matter how long your game lasts.

Perhaps the max output of batteries degrade with usage and fresh acid can bring them back up to full capacity?

Other than that all I got is maybe using it instead of gunpowder for some of the explosives like TNT and rockets... nitrate and the acid (Nitric acid / nitroglycerin).

 
Damn it, I may be partially to blame for this. See I found this book called the Necronomicon and ever since I have been trying to read it out loud. Sometimes I mess up a word or two here and there.
Was wondering what effect that would have.
I plan on adding some sort of book of the undead or whatever to the evil dead looking cabin we have. Reading it spawns a horde or something :) Defeating them gets a rare Chainsaw mod and shotgun mod called "boomstick".

Well lets put it this way: I haven't encountered a vulture I couldn't harvest yet and I know I killed some of those. So hopefully.

 
Hm, so the only areas of your mod you do are the xmls, so you're saying a18 changes xmls that your mod specifically targets, which if I recall is quests, buffs and progression, and prime has already said quests didn't get a lot of loving in 18 so that means buffs and progression are your headaches, and since buffs can't have changed in a meaningful way that would break your mod, that narrows your headache down to progression, which we already know has changed with the new builds and trees, so that just leaves... Ziplines. Ziplines are in a18 and you have to wrap your head around it.
Your powers of deduction are of sherlock Holmes level! Lol

@Fataal: PLEASE tell me that the vehicle run/speed toggle was finally fixed. (It worked in a16 I think.)
If not, use a controller, set to night, and try to outrun vultures and zombies at night on a bicycle for 10 minutes.

The thumb cramps are REAL, and hearing your controller stick grinding isn't a sound I like to hear.

Hell, I'd be happy to wait for a18 longer if it was added to mf bugs, because its not something we can fix with a mod, and as it is it sucks the joy out of driving vehicles.
It was not, but now it is.

Added vehicle turbo button toggles it when using a controller.

To watch OTHERS play the game to drive hype for more sales. WOOHOO so excited....j/k I'm not, kids want to watch people play games. If it is ready for STREAMERS it is ready for the masses to play on experimental.
