If the game did get too realistic i'd probally lose interest in it, like I tried project zomboid and refunded it because it was just to annoying with all the micro-management and all the small steps to do anything. Lets not get started about the mental health part of the game either as thats another whole can of worms back when I refunded it.
I only ask that the developers add hooks in so we can make it Project Zomboid or DayZ realistic. They don't have to hook it up; someone can do that with a mod.

I just want cvars on the HUD...

I think they will get the water polished up here soon. currently there isn't much water on many worlds as i often find myself getting my water from a swimming pool, Yummy! I don't mind the zombie walking its slightly different but i can see how others would say its the same. the game is about surviving and killing off Zs to maintain your char's life. I think its fine. I love the direction this game is going I can't wait to see what is beyond A18 but not before I play it first of course :)
same here but some of those are just pet paves so there not super important

Being able to speak to the public is one thing, voice acting is a completely different animal to tame. Caitlyn Glass did a bunch of VO we just need to book another session with her, she is amazing.
If you could only get John DiMaggio.

Redhead, you going to make trader Jen a redhead?

Glad all the animosity seems to be over...

But, @MadMole - one thing that came out of that: You really should play some of the mods, especially the overhauls.

Not just for your own enjoyment (though, that too) but because some of them have some pretty good ideas, and/or because it can give you a feel for what many players want (even if they're in the minority).

Ideally, I think it would be a good idea to assign someone on permanent mod duty. Kind of like what Roland is for the forum, except for technical issues involving modding. A dev, or perhaps an experienced QA, someone who knows at least a little about the codebase.

Their job would not just be playing a bunch of mods, but doing stuff like:

  • Coming to TFP with things like "modders used to do this, but now it's broken"
  • Finding out what's difficult to mod, and researching whether code changes could make it easier
  • Coming to you with a neat idea they ran across in the mod, in time for TFP to "steal" it and polish it
  • Writing modding tutorials

Kin was pretty good at this before, maybe he could get roped into doing it. (Though I haven't seen him here in a long while - to the extent that I hope he's still with TFP.)

Just some advice, obviously, take it or leave it.

EDIT: On a different subject, Caitlin Glass is a good choice. Hope I get to hear her in game soon.

Didn't know you didn't read PM's, so I'll copy/paste it here.
