also i don't think that dukes shoud be smeltable cuz it could be overused like you sell a auger and then you got 1230 coins to smelt lol
And the point is?

We will still need coal, nitrate and lead , and the time for processing the stuff.

I asked for copper ore earlier, and the reply from MM was that they would make Dukes out of brass again. While i think copper ore would be cooler and more logical, i'll agree that Dukes made of brass will do the job for now.

 
It's not just about the horde though, MadMole. It's also about what I mentioned earlier, and a point that you picked up on which is screamers.
And then zombies wrecking the landscape...

Having the option to toggle something would really be a massive inprovement. Having the option to fight or not on my own terms is really something that sold both me and my friend to this game 😊

I had plans to get my brother into the game and a few more friends, but I regret to say that with this reluctance to offer players the freedom to choose to fight on their own terms puts me in a position where I cannot recommend it.

I really cannot understand why you are so dead set on forcing the players into conflict when the very choice to do the opposite as and when it suits is one of the best things about 7D.
What is the difference between disabling blood moons? You get what you want. Clearly you just want a time out space and sorry the game is about facing impeding doom not being safe with utter certainty or massive preparation. If roof top bases are such a safe haven, do your thing there then, problem solved. Its already been identified as a lot of work, so either deal with it, mod it yourself, or wait for a modder to do it.

I learned the 90/10 rules 40 years ago. No amount of argument gets this done.

You can:

Build 50 meter thick steel

Get naked and die every blood moon for a mere 20% xp loss, spawn in your base and do whatever the rest of the night.

Build spikes or turrets above your base to kill screamers

Turn blood moon off

Set blood moons to once every 30 days

Reduce zombie block damage

Go away or play something else or wait for a mod.

Sorry but working on this is an injustice to players waiting for more polish, bandits, fps improvements etc when there are valid work arounds.

also i think you should change the name of the javelin perk to sharp sticks
One of them is called sharp sticks.

 
Why does it seem like players that perefer hiding underground in order to remain "safe" always have the loudest voice? Its almost like they forgot they are playing a zombie survival game. :bi_polo:

With the perk that lets you fall 20-30 meters (I forget the number), you could almost have been a effortless killing machine during horde night! :)

TFP already thought about it and THAT is probably why "Elevator" ladders are being fixed.

There are other ways to peal that potato however, but it requires more effort.

First, I was so safe that I was able to undertake reconstructing the whole building. That came after the fact.

Second, have I not recently stated the amount of hard work that goes into underground building, especially for those going above bedrock? The stamina requirements and associated food, the experience requirements and perk purchases to get through the rock at a half decent speed, the huge land shifting that goes into making a space in which to build, the need to return to the surface for crafting materials to actually construct stuff like the forge, the workbench, chem station etc - the list goes on...

Third, a bunch of work? You mean disabling zombie digging?

Fourth, I don't know where you get your stats from to claim 99.9% of players who bought the game or how it would be 'bad' for them. And what do you mean by 'bad'?

Why don't you do a poll on steam or somewhere you can gain genuine and large sampled votes on things players would like?

But even if it were the case that even 99.99% of the playerbase didn't build underground, then it wouldn't make a difference having the option to disable zombie digging.

If people aren't building underground or they didn't buy the game 'to be safe', then it begs the question of why you would bother to put such digging measures in place at all.

And fifth, and finally, I most certainly am not asking or expecting anything maintenance free. I enjoyed making underground bases to avoid hordes that I didn't want to fight as much as I did maintaining an above ground base to take them down when I wanted to take them on. That included upkeep, traps, and replacing damaged ground.
But underground bases are safe. Again your just full of crap. I'm not telling you how to do it though.

 
One request I have for the future is a greater variation of choice (even up to day 7) on bloodmoon frequency. Currently the choices are disabled, 1, 3, and 7. While I'm happy enough with these numbers, having a 5 or a 6 in there would be nice, if possible. (:

My case: Sometimes I like to add a bit of blood moon range to my worlds. While having a frequency of 7 is good anyway (of course lol), having a frequency of 3 is not ideal for me, since a blood moon could occur on night 3, which I would not be the biggest fan of. :p So a blood moon frequency of 1-7, or even 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 would be a nice addition, imo. But at the end of the day of course, it's only fluff.
