Excuse me? Where did I ever insult you? I joked around using imagery you brought up (tears of sadness and happiness) but I answered all your questions straight and true. I got it wrong that baseball bats could be perked into-- one mistake and it was because I got the book for making baseball bats in one of my playthroughs and didn't think about how I knew it. Madmole corrected my mistake but that doesn't mean everything I have answered you is inaccurate.

You even admitted to not even reading to the end of one of my posts which also had information you were asking about-- and that was a sincere and honest attempt to help you not to worry about what you haven't played yet. &lt;shrug&gt; If you ask questions and then can't even take the trouble to read the answers then why are you even here asking?

All I have been telling you is that your worries are unfounded. You can play and succeed using a playstyle that doesn't go heavy into questing and looting. You can be an intelligence guy and use some of the coolest new weapons in the game. The weapons and tools you will be able to craft will be bad ass for doing the amount of killing it sounds like you want to do.

Finally, all of this is still a work in progress. If you and others play and the feedback comes back that Intelligence is way too gimped, Madmole will sic the QA guys on it to verify and they will make adjustments. You turn the dial one way and then turn it back the other as you balance. You don't turn it one way and then abandon it because people who haven't played it and are speculating on the bits and pieces they know are having a sad and worried reaction to it.

Hey MM, just wondering is landmine around camp can instant kill 200 HP charater in A18?

And the vultures can chase up low speed vehical like minibike/bike and attack the player?

Thanks for all the great work that done by TFP, and the awesome game as well.

It just this two problems have been bothering me since updated A17.

No matter what please do not nerf it because of peeps complaining about it being too hard. I am looking forward to playing it and it will give me a reason to rent another box to host a server again!!!!!
Awesome, I can't see turning it down, start over or turn down the difficulty if you can't handle the heat or get some friends, more traps, etc.

 
Being a straightforward 'arsehole' beats being a passive aggressive smart-ass in my book. I think we all have concerns about our playstyle based on what info we can glean from what little has been given, but that's what 18.1, .2, .3 are for, if it's even necessary. Sure some bugs can be missed by testers, but I doubt they're going to overlook everything that could make one of the class builds completely gimped and worthless or just plain not fun.

Madmole, I really think that the All night horde should be tested with you doing another new game, survival, full steel reinforced late game uglyarse tower with an iron bar cage for vultures with full fledged defenses 100 molotovs and 5000 bullets with an m60 with 120 min game and 64 Zds alive.
And jump to the Day 140 horde. If the horde doesn't deplete while in the 30 min horde night, then you have supported every single mode of the Zd amount settings to be fun. If it does deplete (as it is likely to), the 120 min setting will be a coitus interruptus as with every Zd amount setting in a 17.4, therefore 120 min with 8,12,.....etc count will also su** a bit.

I like 64 alive. It's perfect. 8 very bland. And below 32, well. Horde night or a sweet visit?

Edit: Your base is gorgeous, I really think so. Just not a good one for Zd fighting nor for testing Zd amount purposes. And fixing it will likely take 3 times more resources and require a bit of ugliness and destroying. That's why I ask this test of you.
What your nuts. I'm not doing that lol. Molotovs might as well be eating broken glass no thanks. I'll have some grenades ready though on my next horde. Noone could survive what you say IMO. Day 140 is meaningless, its GS that matters.

 
One cannot please everyone. All they can do is create the best experience/product/vision/etc. they can possibly make for themselves and for others, meanwhile in the background, trying to please as many people as possible. I think TFP have A18 on lockdown. Keep up the excellent work, and I propose a toast to the greatest game that has ever been conceived!
Thanks to that last sentence above, I'm getting hungry. Time to make myself a sandwich.

This is a general point question.

In your gameplay to day 84, how many absolute points did you earn to be used for purchase

and what was your personal ascension level was it a 1:1 ratio?

Also as you played did certain base attributes str int percep int agil unlock or advance as your

skillpoint level progressed or are they strictly through purchase, Not their sub trees?

Perks bought depend upon player pref, genre playstyle, and type of build during playthrough and the

occasional fatfinger oops, or what is this button for.

GS level depends on how hard I dig in and survive. So that will vary for me depending on how deep

a do a particular playthrough. Since you have release t ability to have the world clones in A17, I

have a constant 5 genworlds same same change in name only. On each I play differently to get a real feel

for how other Genres play using their rules. Actually 4 are for that, 1 is just for me to go Walkabout.

And that is what I respect about you. Not only do you take feedback from the playerbase, but you love your own game. You are not blinded by your own vision either, but vision you have nonetheless. I can't say the same for many developers, even many indie developers. Now go and show those doubters a thing or two and create the greatest alpha in 7D2D history. (But just remember, perfection is impossible. ;) )

And if no plans for options, how do you see the spread of dungeon to non dungeon POIs for random gen? 🤔

Re: your videos - I watched them, I just never recalled you saying what a poster recently stated here on the forums that quality 1 to 5 can be crafted, but quality 6 can only be looted.

You must be more forgiving for those users, like me, who see conflicting information and conjecture. I got the picture already by the way thanks to your reply to another user. I'm confident I understand your changes now.
My humble suggestion for you is to click on Madmoles profile and read through his posts. All of the information that you seek is there. It’s efficient since do not read all the chit chat from other people. Not all info is in the videos, most is in his posts. If you read his posts, he has addressed that purple(pink) weapons and tools are only found in loot so you can only craft up to blue, in more than one post. Also, in multiple posts he has discussed the addition of many non-dungeon poi’s......80ish if I remember correctly. You will feel less frustrated if you read just his posts. Pardon me if you already knew how to do this, just trying to help a frustrated brother.

 
Its much better having loot drop the best things in the game, the desire to go looting is extreme for the first time in a while, and imagine its peak and take that times 500. I'm 90 hours in and still have only 5/7 books on most of them, still need some schematics, etc. I finally got a pink m60. The game is dope finally, I'm super excited for 18, this is the game i've been trying to make for 6 years.
Not long ago, while i was out looting. I got a supply drop that almost landed right in front of the Ranger station I was using as a base. Thanks Fun Pimps for the home delivery! ;)

I have no idea what ratios are, but there are plenty of smaller POIs that might not be a dungeon crawl, or a short one at that. Look for cabins and ruined buildings with holes and windows blown out. A garage, etc.

The game is more loot centric now. It is true quality 6 is only found in loot. If you can craft the best stuff in the game, then the fun is instantly over once you do that. Not a fun game, we had that in A17. You can craft pretty nice stuff but the best is found risking your neck, which all of tfp believes is good for the game and has added many hours of enjoyment. This is Skyrim's biggest flaw, every build enchanting and smithing are must haves, removing desire to loot or keep sandboxing looking for better gear (like diablo)

 
In regards to the loot at the end of a POI. Just thinkin' outloud...

If during the exploration of a POI, following the "intended" path, there were the occasional numbers on the wall or such. In order to unlock the "master loot" chest, you had to put in a code. You could only unlock the master loot vault/chest if you took the time to write down the numbers that you saw as you went through the POI. Each POI that had a "master vault" like the Shotgun Messiah, etc. would have a randomized code with those numbers placed on the way up so it was kind of like a riddle to be solved. You could still unlock the other chests but the "Master loot" chest could only be opened by those who decided to take the full route.

 
It's no worries. We're brothers in arms for defending this game. It has so many aspects that have brought so much enjoyment to myself, and friends of mine, so much addicting gameplay that has me coming back for more.
I'm just worried that drastic changes may take away some of that fun. You have your style, I have my preferences, just as much as the next man.

Do you have any plans on adding more customisable options for random gen that may allow us to tweak our games for that true sense of individuality?
We want to ship a stable high quality random gen. Once we get that done, we will move towards exposing options but we can't fix bugs if we give 10000 options on the first release.

 
MM, what do you think about some different in appearance weapons of different quality? We already have paint in the game. It may be possible for weapons of different quality to make some basic differences in the skin for all weapons (not a mod, only basik skin, and can the ability to install color mods on top of the base skin).
Level 1 - very rusty, and very dirty

Level 2 - moderately rusty, and moderately dirty

Level 3 - a little rusty and a little dirty

Level 4 - just dirty

Level 5 - Clean

Level 6 - grated to a shine (not so dazzling, but still ...)
Unneeded fluff, we're a small team. Doing it procedurally would look bad, like old UMA zombies.

 
In WoW you have MULTIPLE PLAYERS to play each role. My point was that playing agility single player might be inferior to str or whatever other class because it’s stealth, which is not ideal for horde night. Never asked for all classes to be equal in skills, but equal in the ability to take on horde night. Big difference.

There will be some character builds less effective for sure. The m60 guy has a crap reload, the agility guy can keep spraying and reloading nearly instantly. Having trade offs is a good thing and unique builds is good too.

No it's now GamidaIsGreat. For security reasons the pw is rotated. This one may stay for a while as no one in a million years would ever think of it.

last I checked blood moon can be turned off, blood moon horde damage to blocks can also be adjusted. I think also zombie block damage. so why is everyone so worried about demolisher zombies damage or hordes wrecking a base? just change the settings instead.
I swear most of the things people complain about here in the vanilla game can easily be fixed by changing the settings a bit. if you refuse to change the settings then it's a personal problem.
This is not saying I want it changed but just a comment. That there is the reason. Well that and a lot of people play on servers. If you play on a server it is the owner/admin who has to change it. Lots of them out there play just the vanilla and want to leave it vanilla. So if it is not part of vanilla game then you are out of luck. All good for SP games though.
