If its about a Threat in Form of a tiny, fast Enemy, why not mutated Spiders? Not from the US, but i guess around Arizona etc there are spieders (or scorpions ^^) too.
A simple solution to get a fast small non-human enemy would be a zombie raccoon. They are small, agile and can climb. At night you can hardly see them because of their colour and with feral eyes they would scare you to death.

The Walking Dead opened with a Child Zombie, many movies have had child zombies. heck Z Nation had a Z baby.

I like the idea of a small/fast ankle biter and just like a baby copper head snake, they would deliver a Z Disease right away that required meds or death.

heck Minecraft has babies.

Why not irradiated fire-breathing chickens? I'm still waiting on those. ;)
No, you got it all wrong. You become fire-breathing when you eat the irradiated hot wings! ;)

I've had wings labeled as 3-Mile Island hot and the only superpower I've gotten is an ire for bad posting.

wings, now there's a convo I can take a bite out of.

try 1 cup franks red hot, 2 tbs minced garlic,, 1 tbs honey. let sit over night, use that as your sauce.

No one commented on the kids in American McGee's Alice? (Sorry if someone did and I didn't see)

Aaaand, maybe some sweet, soothing electro-shock therapy.

Man, I miss that game! So trippy!

I would pass on child zeds. To each their own but I’d want an option to disable it, XML or otherwise.
I would say so too

ImO I just find even the idea to implement it, a bit...sicko

It reminds me of a case in skyrim where some sickos circumvented the security maesurements set by the devs to avoid killing and having sex with the childrens in game

maybe in some countrys the game would even go to the index, that means you can buy it if you are above 18 but it is forbidden to make any kind of adds for the game, which maybe would impact the amount of games sold, in a negative way

there are also countrys (i could imaging but idk), where it is illegal at all to allow kids to be "slaughtered", no matter if as a zombie or "normal" child

Have you guys even looked at the screamer?

She looks well underage to me. There are several games with children zeds, Dying Light comes comes to mind, and it does not detract in any way. There was a thread on this a while back. AFAIK, TFP has clearly rejected the idea of adding any more in but I think they are already are there with the screamer anyway.

As far as being added to an 'index,' I think the zed strippers already have that covered as well.

at least in europe, nudity is not a problem at all, if the game is for adult gamers

but with violence its the opposite, atleast in germany (one of the top tier gaming markets)we have the "FSK" they will check if the content is appropiate and if the game could be sold as normal or if its an index game

But Im no lawyer or something, idK

As far as I had heard its in the US the opposite way, nudity is an issue but violence not...so much

I noticed something in the console I've never seen.

block spawn new trader.

that is an approximation because when I thought to comment about it I couldn't find it. So my question is did the game add another trader during the game? Is this a gamestage thing or did I bump a chunk I've never been to?

Also I've been wondering, instead of having a finite set of zombie models why not go for a more modular approach where we get a base model for various zombie types and the clothes/face/height/looks are procedural. Right now its really hard to believe that there is some kind of zombie apocalypse if you meet the same zombie over and over. I also dislike the concept of screamers, they ruin the immersion by being special on their own, maybe if more focus was put into sound and senses for the zombies to not require a screamer to attract/spawn more zombies it would already solve having the need for a special zombie.

Another slightly overlooked thing is that the game does not explain what the zombies want, right now they seem to have some interest in players and start to attack right away if they can, but here is the big question: what will the zombie gain from just attacking players? Are they actually smart enough to understand that a player must be killed before eaten? Why aren't they constantly trying to eat the player instead of attacking him by pure brute force?

Right now all of this makes it a pretty generic zombie game where you can also craft, I mean we have a bunch of those, the only special perk of this game is that its all voxel based, but that should be no excuse to ignore common game design. Its very unlikely that such changes happen in A18 but I would appreciate some thoughts on this.

Idea for the child sized quick zombie: If actual children z's aren't permitted-

Take the upper half-(no legs) give em more muscular arms.(maybe a mutated head).. it's movement can be the arms either together or windmill type..

bottom torso could have a sharp bone sticking out/// charges in ands raises lower section up and tries to impale-- can also have em stick to player if the hit scores and then they raise up, pull them selves in and try and take a bite..

Procedural Zds are desired. Just not doable timewise in this game, so devs said that probably on a sequel. They tried with UMA but the performance in Unity sux . That doesn't mean that it won't be more Zds. Just that it is unlikely to be a procedural system for Zd variety.

Screamers are cool. Nice feature. In alpha 16 they were a little intense for underground bases. In 17.4 they don't spawn while you are down there down enough. You don't like them. Cool opinion, we respect that. You can manage the heatmap by separating your workstations. Or mod them out.

Lore for the Zds will come 100% as well as friendly npcs, bandits and a campaign . Just wait until Avatar 2 releases. 9 months per alpha at this point, but very well worth it. To make my point, how many hours of 7dtd have you been playing? I guess not just 3. Do you feel like that a game on which we invested so many hours is average? do you think Oblivion is average? It is a matter of perspective. This game lacks endgame. Alpha game. Be patient.
