I like THIS idea. And while I got used to the exclamation points, I feel like they indeed break immersion a bit.
However, the difficult path would be to activate on enter area, resetting the POI immediately, fixing the double POI reward cake thing.

Difficult because you must design a way to not forcibly get the quest, like a timer for the player that is passing by (and not doing the quest), or a mild warning to leave the area or the quest will start in X seconds at which point you can't leave... etc.
First you should tell us why klicking on the flag (or whatever else is replacing the exclamation mark) doesn't work. There is no double POI reward, the trader gives you always only one, and instead of pre-looting this house you could be looting the house besides this one.

Cool. Guess I'll check back when A19 is on the horizon.
Considering A17 never managed to hit the same numbers as A16 maybe another subpar version will finally see a return to the better system.
OMG just try A18 and get over it. LBD is not coming back unless someone buys the company. A18 smokes 16, 17, Fark, Crust, Gay Z, the Forrust, Subfartica, the Shaft, Stranded Geek, you name it I have a pun for it :D Sorry but you don't have to shove cacti up your ■■■ to level any more.

Unfortunately that is not how it works. the more they test and fix bugs is less we get irritated. Consider if they didn't find those 62 bugs, and you have to encounter them in your game? Will you love game ? They will find it and fix it. Forever :) .
You mean 362 because the community will uncover 300.

Ah, and you too are onto something, even a small name and/or visual tweak, like you mentioned, to what is there now would go a long way, def be less confusing for the noobs that way.
I'd speculate its only confusing to old players. A new player will read the recipe, see that it takes 5 and cook a steak and won't think twice about it. Not a bad idea though.

It's a much bigger problem when you play with other people. You might start turning a POI into a base before logging off for the day, only for your buddy to start playing a few hours later and unknowingly reset the POI for a quest. The more people who play on a server, the higher the odds of this happening. Experienced players will know to land-claim their base, but newbies won't until they learn the hard way.
I think to be safe, any player-made storage chests should also block POI resets. Hopefully with a mature quest system it will automatically detect invalid POIs, select an unclaimed one and immediately reset it if needed when accepting the quest which would solve a lot of these issues as well as increasing immersion.
Woah just stop right there before this misinformation spirals into another unneeded gate. POIS with LCB or bedrolls are not considered for valid quests. If someone puts a bedroll or claim down after the quest was accepted the guy cannot activate the quest until he destroys your LCB and bedroll.

So either way its fine as is, nobody is getting cleared out/deleted by the quest marker activation without being raided first.

Does anyone else want "escort" quests? You find a survivor - or a group of survivors - and have to escort them to the nearest Trader. For a group, the rewards could vary based on the number of survivors who survived the trip.
No thanks, there are too many tough to navigate situations where they will look bad IMO. Its worth a try, but if it looks bad, well forget it. At a minimum we'll have survivor camps you can repair the wall before the next horde shows up, and once you do you have a small horde show up you protect them from kind of thing.

How hard would it be to implement following feature?

Allowing placement of multiple blocks at once, a feature I know only from Empyrion-Galactic Survival. Holding RMB would suspend placement and give you the ability to drag dummy blocks along the axis of choice, upon release they would be placed. Ctrl+Holding RMB would allow to drag out a 2D Grid of dummy blocks, upon release they will be placed.

To be honest, placing 100s sometimes 1000s of blocks individually is a chore. Would greatly improve building I think.
No because there has to be a time investment to building. If you can wave your magic wand and have a 100x100 steel force field, how are the zombies ever going to be a threat? We have a fill tool in creative mode if that is what you meant, but something like that will never appear in this survival game because it is "anti survival".

Back home from Ireland to PA you B^#%$'s
Lets get this started.

DaVega, go suck a rock (yes thats an r)

Roland, math is for nerds, (uncool geeks)

Lastly, MadMole, how much percent of a Sequel is A18?

Miss me ? :)
