So you are claiming that it cannot be played like that.
Sure it is possible at the moment but is it also considered as valid gameplay ? That is the question. The post of DUST2DEATH assumes that it is not considered as valid gameplay.

Based on that assumption I would say that it would be nice if it was possible, further assuming you have placed enough fortifications and traps.
Securing yourself with the traps so far that you could practically go AFK is not a problem if you have enough time and resources. The question is always whether this is what the developers want and whether changes can be expected in the future.

I'm a big fan of fighting zombies with traps instead of firearms. So of course I hope that this kind of gameplay is considered valid and that we might even see some new traps in the future.

Hey guys, sorry if this was explained before.

When generating a new quest, how does the game know when a poi can be reset?

What if the poi chosen is someone's base? Does the game check for sleeping bags and claims? What if I have multiple bases and currently I have no active sleeping bag in that poi? What if I just use a poi to drop some valuable loot in a chest, and then the poi is reset?

Okay, different argument. You can fight the bloodmoon horde completely without a base on the street if you have enough ammo and the appropriate skills. You can fight the horde like in a pure shooter. Shouldn't it also be possible to fight the horde like in a pure tower defense game?
I say it is quite possible to do tower defense in game even now. Just that you have to plan it good. If you seens Kage's video, he make a maze if you think of that maze been 6-7 floor high, you don't have to shoot zombie. Except radiated. as they are harder to kill, so you can put some automated guns and then you sit and watch. So you can play it shooter and tower defence .. it is easy both way. And that is why I love this game, as there is no one correct answer.

I once take 2 quest from 2 trader, and eventually both gave me quest on same POI. I was happy as I save time travelling. while I activate the first quest, and then go to door, and click the quest marker it activate that quest. Then I put a Bedroll so I don't get out of quest area and lose the quest (smarter me).. I finish quest without getting killed (even smarter). Now I activate second quest and go to Exclaimation mark, it doesn't allow me to start quest, as my Bedroll is in Area. [Dump me :'( ], I have to pick my bedroll and then I was able to accept the quest.

So, Even if it give you the quest it won't reset the building and accept quest unless you remove bedrolls from it.It make also happen for Land Claim that way I am guessing.

I know it's possible, but the question was raised whether that's what the developers wanted as well. Some players seem to think it's cheesy if you don't have to use firearms but can rely on traps.

My current base kills most zombies without me having to intervene. Only the spiders and dogs make it through the traps because I have the traps at head height. Here I have to intervene myself.

I said the compass is useless in itself. The quest markers and time are useful. We're never deleting any of it for hardcore's tastes so lets stop this discussion.
Good. Its already been modded so no biggy.

As far as I know, yes, there is a check for sleeping bags and claim blocks which will ensure the POI isn't used before assigning a quest to it.

If you have a loot chest within the bounds of a POI when it's reset you _will_ lose your stuff.

I think it's a mighty fine argument. You could say that, and if it were true that it activated that mechanic, then it would be fine... then I will be playing a game with the fun mechanic. What difference does it make if it's on a lower setting or higher setting as long as it's in?

What does that have to do with anything? If you are on max difficulty, and this feature was added in for only higher difficulties, then we would be playing with that mechanic and no mods would be needed.

Maybe the first couple days. My favorite part of the game.

Any gamer with a good sense who thinks something is too hard on default will try a lower setting... unless there is some kind of ego issue going on. If there is some kind of ego issue going on, they are likely to keep playing on default anyway until they get better to fix the ego.
Your first 2 points were fine. It's not a difficulty thing it's a fun mechanic thing. That'ds fine but it does make the game more difficult. And as i already said i think a17 difficulty was near perfect for the average player on default difficulty. If you disagree that's fine we can leave it there. This is a subjective argument after all.

As for your last point. Anyone that thinks it's too easy can just turn up the difficulty. Or go play one of the many hardcore mods out there.

That is only true if the game has a single core design feature. (Nice try ;) )
You know I love you all :)

I assumed nothing and responded to MadMoles wording.

Congrats! Thats a ton of weight for 2 months. Yes fat is literally cancerous, and raises estrogen (which lowers testosterone), raises blood pressure, lowers self image, etc. I feel fat at 15% body fat, but I used to be around 22% and felt nasty. I'm trying to reach around 11% or even 10% this time.
I don't like losing muscle, so I cut weight really slow. If you have a lot of weight to lose and aren't starving yourself then you might as well go as fast as you can and get it done. I lost 35 pounds on my first run at keto over 3 months, going from 233 to 198. I was 208 and 11% last summer, I want to get to there again in about 2 months. I'm 210 and 15% right now, so I need to gain about 5 pounds of muscle and lose 10 pounds of fat yet. I was 16% and 212 a few weeks ago when we did the video chat, so I'm looking a lot better already. Dream physique is 10% and 220 pounds but I don't know if I can pull that off lol. I'll try though.
Sorry to be so horrible off topic but how can I tell my fat %?

this will be editable via xml or not?i already turn down to 75% the xp (and thinking to go down to 50%) because i level too fast, trap farming xp seems to me an easy way to level up
According to what I read you will level in A18 much slower than in A17.

? What the heck ?

But you ticked off all the boxes better than I did. I have a 10k custom built leather couch, a 12000 sq foot castle on 5 acres and a hellcat with 300 miles on it. You don't even have an armchair? I know I only sold 8 million copies, I'm waiting to hear what amazing game you made.
So your saying your saying the Cats down in the garage with only 300 miles on it and already needs new tires? OMG

Pretty sure you meant “easy”.

Again, you are correct. Just like how any reasonable gamer who finds the game too easy would turn the difficulty up, one who finds it too hard would turn it down.

This is common sense... not seeing any issue at all.

Sorry to be so horrible off topic but how can I tell my fat %?
For a ballpark number use the tape measure method, its on the internet.

And my A18 question: What is the body fat of the cop vs the fat lady in A18? Who would win a sumo contest?

And that all relates to the Raging Bull perk that should be called: The Sumo-nator. :)

Ask my wife, she will tell you plenty of times you need to reduce your fat-%!
That’s a bit rude but maybe Kage will just be glad your wife watches his show....

(camera adds 10 pounds Kage)
