I was joking. Gas barrels are now loot instead of pickups, so you get way less gas, 20-80 per barrel. You mean you can only buy gasoline (petrol)? What about gas stations?
Ounce? Don't you mean Gallons or liters?

I was repeating what guppy said... see it raised your ire too..No gas? Why? Is this like "if I can't have all the gas, I don't want any at all"? Not understanding that.
I'm sure if this caused a shortage for your generators or molotovs to the point where it made using either impractical, they would just make it so that they use less gas, but vehicles use more.
He meant gas is so plentiful that cars should just automatically work with always full tanks and Molotov’s just have the gas built into their recipe for free.MIght as well not even have GAS? don't even get me goin- did they change molotovs to not need it for an ingredient what about gas engines for traps...? unless you are being sarcastic I don't think you or anyone else has thought this through./.Too many people want to change things based on small % of what players do to take advantage of minor game play elements...Quit it.
Uh no, you probably know the answer already but I'll spell it out so others know. When we officially support modding, you should be able to add a shape, and once we officially support modding, we will enable steam workshop.Of course you can do it...
...but should you? Should every poi be "worth it"? I don't think so. Random rare finds of great loot should be random.

Steam workshop is going to open up new modding possibilities? I thought it was just a way to distribute mods, I had no idea it would inherently add more mod support. That's cool that it'll enable mesh shape imports.![]()
Distant terrain is looking good!
The red fog could degrade your vehicle super fast. How about random "gas" clouds forming during horde night that threaten to stall the engine? So you can drive but at the risk of the engine stalling and zombies catching up. Could also be good to have a risk for the vehicle to explode upon taking too much damage.
Yes that was a RWG map I showed.Wait so those hills/mountians was created in the RWG, not Navezgane?
So you modded in a custom block shape? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Was not easy, but I did it.![]()
Vehicles already have a chance of exploding once their health is gone. How about random "gas" clouds forming during horde night that threaten to stall the engine? So you can drive but at the risk of the engine stalling and zombies catching up. Could also be good to have a risk for the vehicle to explode upon taking too much damage.
lol, I see.He meant gas is so plentiful that cars should just automatically work with always full tanks and Molotov’s just have the gas built into their recipe for free.
It would make good use of that gas mask too. Mods for better filtration. The red fog could degrade your vehicle super fast.
I appreciate modders, I love mods for games, but I don't want to hear about specific mods in the A18 thread unless I ask specifically about it for reference of some feature a modder may have done that might be useful to the core product. Nothing against you or Ravenhearst.Sofar my guy and myself have logged over 300 hrs in 7 days then we found Ravenhurst and we now been playing for 3 weeks daily and we brought friends to the game as well. So how i or anyone else spends their ■■■■ off time at home on their computers that they bought and paid for is personalty none of your concern or business Madmode. Shawnie
Nah. I made this infographic back in A14, and I would've noticed if the game added shape-based block HP since then. I've probably been asking for them to add it since A15.I think I remember it around A15-ish? I may be mistaken though. I may have just assumed such a system was in place because it seemed like a glaringly obvious balance. That is definitely why I didn't realise everything was the same HP... I wasn't looking for it.
Okay, sorry. I edited the post to say you don’t like A* for this. However, your claim that there would be exploits specifically with shape-based block HP is still unsubstantiated. And separately, you still have no answer for what else the heuristic for A* should be other than block HP, despite insisting that basing the path weight on block HP is the problem.I don't dislike A* at all, I just think it's the wrong tool for this particular job.
All that is left is dirt, forest ground, burnt forest ground and wasteland... oh and asphalt. We won't ship until they are done. Justin is a wizard, he made all the outdoor Rage textures so I'm sure we're in good hands. If gas is highly sought after, it opens it up to being a loot item that you can get excited about. It could be added to supply crates and to trader quest rewards and people would actually appreciate it.
Spend your week building money for gas and looting gas to prepare for horde night.
Spend your week repairing your base, looting and saving for ammo to prepare for horde night.
If gas = brass we have balance in the universe no matter which way you wish to play it.
No doubt.
Madmole, are all biomes getting hit with the texture updates for A18, or just whatever gets done before then?
I can see the wasteland will be the hardest to get looking good.
I can't imagine getting any rubble and debris texture looking great on such a flat surface. Are there any ideas being thrown around?
Right I recognized this in testing so I've spearheaded the gas balance. There will be no action taken towards vehicle drivers on horde night for A18.IDC if people drive around on horde night, hell, it's fun, but I think gas needs to be more difficult to attain because it's too easy right now. Might as well not even have gas...
... anyone ever run out? No? Then it is currently useless.
Nice! Thanks. All that is left is dirt, forest ground, burnt forest ground and wasteland... oh and asphalt. We won't ship until they are done. Justin is a wizard, he made all the outdoor Rage textures so I'm sure we're in good hands.
17 Doesn't use microsplat, 18 does.17 uses Microsplat for terrain.
It has a tessellation and parallax module that can be added.
If 18 has upgraded to Megasplat then parallax is already included, they just need to turn it on![]()

Lol'd but I'm a family guy nut. I quit watching it when we started working on 7 days so I have 6 seasons I'm catching up on, started from the beginning again thoughSorry, this needed to be referencedlol
I already said the goal is to get by on what you find, but if you want to thrive like now you'll need a shale mine. Before it was 1000's of gas, selling 80% of it and using 20% at most, and that's literally ignoring to pick up barrels because meh, I have 50k gas.No gas? Why? Is this like "if I can't have all the gas, I don't want any at all"? Not understanding that.

Yeah gas in recipes and in vehicles in 17 was simply a formality. Anyhow 18 is all about balance, you guys will love it I assure you.He meant gas is so plentiful that cars should just automatically work with always full tanks and Molotov’s just have the gas built into their recipe for free.
So 17 is only using it for the Texture Array then?17 Doesn't use microsplat, 18 does.
