Sorry if it's already been asked, but I have 2 questions.I hope they'll be answered next week:star:

Question 1 - Will the hand held models for food items be back in A18? I miss eating those pies and stews.

Question 2 - About the demolisher zombies, it says to shoot them in the flashing sweet spot to detonate them. When you detonate them and they explode, that explosion doesn't do damage to the blocks around them? They only do damage to blocks when they explode on their own?
Welcome back @madmole

Hey MM, what are some applications of the new block tags? I'm guessing the lockpicks are using it, is that right?
Harvest more x, do more damage to x. I got a perk that does x to anything with this tag "perkDoEEEEIIIIT" Tip of the iceberg here but I imagine a lot of cool stuff.

Okay, that's good to know. I wasn't sure if the way it was coded meant that a block being full health was 'free' and safely unloadable until interacted with, and then if you did something with it, it started potentially keeping track of all these HP and state numbers regardless of where you were. That means that all blocks are always kept track of regardless of condition in the save file, right?
Speaking of blocks, there was an AAAAANCIENT experimental update that lasted like, 2 days, where terrain blocks were octagonal instead of the diamond shape we know now. Why not keep the blocky aesthetic? Too many polygons?
They were not octagons but more like cubes with round corners. It was basically back to minecraft.

For some reason I skim read this as Welcome back guacamadmole lol. I guess the @ sign made it read like that skimming lol.
Lol, now you and Roland's emoji got me craving avocados:kiwi-fruit:

Those questions in the quote, I'm still wondering about. I see streamers feeling sad that they have to eat that crust part of a loaf of bread all the time:confusion:

Just on items with quality. Mods do not have quality. Maybe down the road if we look at mods closer, we will have enough things all over the place to manage with this feature I don't want to go any wider unless needed.
Thanks for answer, but I meant something different, sorry english is not my native language. What I meant is that since you implemented items with random stats, do you also plan to implement a feature thanks to which we would be able to either find or buy items that already have some modifications attached? That kind of feature would be cool. I asked this some time ago, but I couldn't find the answer.

This is not the first time, I've seen someone write about this.
I've never had that happen ever, while playing... I tried to provoke it after reading others getting this. I succeeded using a flagstone block, but was easily able to get free (without breaking the block). I do see how it sucks a little with the spikes :) .

I would be interested in seeing a video of the gameplay. Perhaps you are playing in a weird way, that I dont know of... How else could this keep happening to you?
This started I think in A15 when block placement code was changed. I don't begin to understand that change, I just know that's where this problem originated. Part of the issue with the spikes is placing them on a slightly uneven ground, trying to place them in a row and, probably, trying to place them quickly. When placing spikes, ever notice how there are times that the game wants to place them in the air and not flush on the ground or not where your character sees as an open block? At the same time, moving your mouse to get the potential placement flush on the ground you sometimes need to move the mouse ever so slightly to make it appear to be placed on the ground. That mouse movement, with even the slightest mouse movement changes the block placement, I believe, is the culprit. In the right circumstance and inadvertent slight movement of the mouse when right clicking to place the spike block shifts the spike to the block space you are standing in. Add in the fact that you're trying to place a bunch of spikes relatively quickly I think is what happens.

Best way I know to try and make it happen is to find some uneven ground, place several rows of spikes in a straight line and do so a decent pace. I'd be shocked if you didn't run into the situation described above. So some would say, don't put spikes down on uneven ground....I agree but that isn't always possible. However, you should not be able to place something under any circumstances within the block your character is in.

I hope my description makes sense. I've never tried to intentionally make this happen, just have experienced it often enough to be frustrated. Understand too that I have around 5000 hours in the game so I play a lot so it happening often to me won't be often to someone else.

No its a stroll in the park currently. You'll need hazmat gear just to not turn into an english muffin in 30 seconds for starters.
Will wasteland have geiger counter buzz, or have a greenish hue indicating the radioactivity?

You can make wood and metal give a thorns effect when a zombie hits them. Think like splinters and shards of iron as they tear through it.
With this system I can see people using a combination of hard blocks (cobble, concrete, etc.) and weaker but damaging blocks (wood, metal, etc.). It would make base building even more interesting and give much needed purpose to wood and metal blocks.
I like this idea! Make a wood upgrade with scrap iron to add metal strips with nails sticking out?

Also, can we get back the clean wood spikes and have the blood on them indicating damage like a16? I know the files were all still in a17.

lol, question 1 acutally made me check, and you are correct about the model not being correct.

Steel bullets are gone. We now have armor piercing and hollow points, and all weapons use brass. There are a lot more ways to get brass now though once you find the books to unlock special harvest events.
Does this include shotgun shells? Shot and slugs?

We had fog, there were gnashing of teeth and wailing.
lol. Yeah I remember the comments. One was like. "Did you think about renaming the game to Seven Days of Fog?" :)

Bunch of spoiled brats around here. Here is a shiny new M60.... "WAAAAA I don't like that, I want dis one"!
M60 New? That weapon is so old it was replaced with the 240B. It belongs in museum.

Have you had a chance to fix the fire rate bug? It seemed to have problems when you showed it in that video.
