I'm thinking 4 or 5 to get rank 1.
I like the stuff I'm reading. Also, 1 skill point for tier 6 quest's reward instead of an item would be sweet. That way it wouldn't cap the completionist/minmaxer/grindy player type but it would take tons of weeks to get there.
Also, the 17.2/.3 "kill X animals" quests are , for a lack of a better term, worthless and boring at the same time because they give very little XP and no skill point. Before, they were time consuming but they eventually got you a nice reward ; now, they are a piece of paper.
I understand they felt like passive grindy stuff and for some reason they remembered me of the athletics skill in Oblivion where you got better by running and couldn't possibly turn it off. In this case your read that quest and you just wait until life gets you there without any thought. That's why I suggest that little tweak to the rewards of very high tier quests.
Or there could be 1 book that gives you 1 skill point and sells for little and is only found in final loot or in yellow bags of the very best bosses.
Well, there is much potential for minmaxers, but I`m trying for our cause while you focus on more pressing matters, because I firmly believe we will be heard eventually. Let us waste 1000s of hours getting all the skills with effort and a fulfilling gameplay if we really want to.
The direction of the game is the correct one, and I must say this: I don`t like Conan very much, nor Ark. They have already capped their core gameplay and they lack in some very clear aspects (grind, purpose, past-content fun). This game though, and the promises that are being revealed for it are much more compelling and close to a true dream: puttingBethesda Game Studio games to shame and showing that money and lack of fixes and love generates lacky and halfassed products.
3 years until gold? 4 million design choices? bring it on. Make alpha 20 a dlc and I'm selling my house to play it.
