Definitely can't speak to A18 obviously, but I'm hoping for the best!
I can't help but agree with his final piece though. I mostly play with a couple of friends on our own private server. And as far as we've seen it, zombie slaying is really the only game in town for exp. Other activities give it, sure, but at a drastically slower rate than Zombie slaying (with the exception of mining later on). If you've got your eyes on a particular perk you really want to get to and exp becomes a focus, you go zombie hunting. Bust in to a POI, fire a gun to wake everything up, and murderball until they're all dead and you can move to the next building to repeat. It's so much the case that as the team resource gatherer I go out of my way to move my operations to whatever location they are looting for the shared exp. Harvest rocks, trees, dirt, etc. outside of the building. Because if I don't they will outlevel me pronto, at least in the early game. Because zombie killing is just so much faster than anything else.
I don't say this to complain, especially since it sounds like work is being done on a ton of this for A18. I just disagree with the statement that "You get heaps of XP for all activities." That's just not what I've found in game right now. And if what's being done in A18 is coming from a place of believing that, then it might not be getting looked at right?
Either way, still loving my groups weekly 7 days game.
