I will be incredibly sad and angry if they continue to take away paint textures to save memory, and then add in ten billion new textures just because someone doesn't like the fact that a brown level item looks the same as a blue level item. It's a gun. It looks like a gun. It should look like a gun. I don't care if it looks like every other gun. It shoots things and hopefully kills them dead. Good enough.
I'm already upset over the removal of most of the paint textures and the uglification of the ones that remain.

Yes, I know, it's a zombie game, blah blah freaking blah. I know the devs think we should all be freaking Rambo and do nothing but shoot and loot all damned day and night. Not everyone plays the same way, not everyone enjoys the same things. I like to have a place look nice, and I can barely manage that now with the paints as they exist, and having them even more negatively impacted over something this utterly stupid would be complete bull. Give us our paints back please, or at least make it modifiable.
I am with you on this. I did not know they had taken any away and was looking forward to have more to choose from in the next update.

If you find a gun on day one and don't know the game, it is a massive process to craft a repair kit.
If you find a gun on D1 you should either scrap it (if it is low level) or save it for later when you actually need it. Quite frankly I rarely use guns at all but for horde nights. But even if you do decide to use that D1 gun you don't need worry about repair kit complexity because crappy early game guns drop at a fairly high rate. You'll find another one soon.

Sure, but we have 21st century now and modern forges are a thing.
Yes, modern forges are a thing but steel should not be gated behind one. I'm all for advanced workstations being put in, just not gating steel behind one of them.

Well, it makes most sense to put it behind really.

Its high end material, you shouldn't be able to swim in it just with basic stuff.

It might not make sense from "realism" point of view, but it makes perfect one from "progression/tech".

Very easy to reproduce, crouch into a sloping corner like inside a roof and when you can't go further stand up. Voila clipping.
Just tried that. The camera stays low now even if you stop crouching. When you back out of the space, the camera raises based on your head clearance.

Really? I do that so often in 17.2, that I thought it was intentional to help you crawl under things.
Go the large firehouse POI, there are two tanks in the back yard connected by pipes, crouch and walk under the pipes to reproduce.
Tried it and the camera does not clip anymore.

I think a lot of people share this feeling. Building a beautiful base really gives you a feeling of accomplishment. The more opportunities, the better.

I just tried a generator wired to 4 spots lights and 5 light bulbs. Didn't see any performance issues. The profiler didn't show any spikes.
This has been experienced by a ton of players tbh so it rather surprises me that this seems to not be on the radar.

It has been noted that it is rather extreme with solar panels - where I notice this the most - and also seems to be noted with trigger plates. Lights seem to exacerbate this as you put more of them on the circuit. Solar panels are by far the worst culprit - last base I put together had 4 lights, 3 electrical fences, 4 dart traps and a blade trap all hooked up. Some stuttering with gas. Brought me down to a slide show - likely around 5 fps - the instant that I hooked up the solar panels. Of course, horde night IMPROVED performance because the solar panels switched back to battery power at that time. When I tore my 200K solar setup out and went back to gas - everything was fine again.

I purposely keep lighting rather low - less than 6 sources - because if I start to light what I want to performance takes a really steep hit as well. Interestingly, spotlights seem to have a much lower effect than lights.

MM - Repair is to complex and needs to be simplified/streamlined

Board - oh, here are some ideas

submits 10,000 ideas that ALL make repair more complex

I think I see an exploit here MM. Just tell us that you want a more complex and deep repair system. We will come up with all sorts of simplistic ideas for you :D

I reallllllllly want to start a new game but 17.3 is not here yet :(

try 5x1 pressure plates and dart traps, more than 3 or 4 traps chained and you can see it.

It's as though what people really want are deeper and more complex mechanics.

is glitching or clipping through the map/ground listed as fixed for 17.3? its probably one of the last big exploits. it allows you to see bases, treasure and deal with PVP without being seen.

fixing this bug would be great (except for finding treasure) :)

happy searching :)

is it a BUG when you go into a POI that has been reset for a quest and the zombies are stacked? you kill one (headshot sneak) and another one is in same spot? not the same usually a diff zombie. I have seen 3 stacked on same space.
