Bug Description: Pressing "B" to go back from advanced generation into the new game menu, results in a completely empty screen, background is there, but no menus exist.

Reproduce steps:

1) Open game, make sure you're using a controller (mine was xbox if it matters)

2) Click "new game"

3) Click "advanced generation"

4) Try to go back by pressing the "b" button (which is usually the back button)

Actual result: Get's stuck on a screen with music playing and the background loaded but no interface

Expected result: To go back to the new game generation screen.

Bug Description: I am the admin of my server and cannot get into the server without being Kicked due to EAC. If I validate files and wipe all 7days data through the launcher tool, i can sometimes get in, but then have to repeat steps each time i log in. If i turn EAC off i have to deal with multiple hackers a day due to lack of security.

Reproduce steps: Attempt to log into the server, get kicked by EAC.

Actual result: cannot log into server without getting kicked by EAC.

Expected result: to be able to log into server....

 
Forge Processing Time Exploit/Bug

A17.0 stable

PC, Windows

Game Mode: Singleplayer, likely works in MP too but can't easily check.

You can quickly smelt items by replacing a high-time item when a low-time item is being processed. Process times carry over when you replace an item that's actively being processed.

Reproduction steps: Put something with a low time like lead or scrap iron (or stone so you can see it work with a little more time), and while it's being processed drag an item like an axe or pickaxe over it. It will inherit the process time of the other item and the axe will be processed in only a few seconds.

You can try to file a ticket with EAC however my experience with them makes me think it may not help. When I've had the same thing as you happen on my own server, I've filed a tickets with EAC and never have gotten a reply. I disabled EAC for a couple of days then enabled it again and all was well. Good luck with it.

Bug Description: When you break a block or worse 1 hit a block, you only get the resources for breaking the block and none for damaging the block

Reproduce steps: max strenght, max block damage perks. max harvest perks. with a shovel with 3 mods i hit gras 249 damage and get 40 clay total per block. with 4 mods i 1 hit the block and only get 20. with 2 mods i get 38.

Actual result: get 20 dirt from 1 block when 1 hitting it. I only get the break bonus, and no resources for the damage i deal.

Expected result: get 40 dirt from 1 block when 1 hitting it. Get the break bonus + resources for the damage i deal.

Bug Description:

Bedroll and/or LCB become inactive if you don't play SP for a while.

I play 7D2D in single-player mode, and I expect no changes between game sessions.

What happens is that bedrolls and LCBs become inactive if I do not play for a while in single-player.

This first manifested as the LCB becoming inactive. I subsequently found that this applied to bedrolls as well.

User wildaxeman1 brought this up:

when you started game, did you set it single player only? if not and you have not logged in some time, lcb can turn inactive
This seems to happen even in SP mode. That is, if you have not "logged in" (played the game) in SP mode, then after a while, the LCB and the bedroll become inactive.

This does make sense in MP, but absolutely not in SP.

At first I was not able to figure out what was going on, but I deliberately did not launch a SP game for a few days, and that was when the problem presented itself (I couldn't easily test the LCB, but my bedroll, which I had re-placed in the last game session, was inactive).

I'm attaching the latest log, though I'm not sure it's helpful, it doesn't seem to show any data related to this bug. Still, maybe it's useful for some reason.

Reproduce steps:

* Play 7D2D on your lonesome

* Have life that requires you don't play for a few days

* Play 7D2D again after a few days

Actual result:

LCBs and (more importantly) bedrolls become inactive.

Expected result:

LCBs and bedrolls remain active.

Color of map is getting very shiny sometimes so that I can't see the symbols and informations on it...

Random map is building many buildings of the same typ very close to each other and to many POIs instead of normal houses…

So far no chickens seen in 36 days…

Rest is running fine so far…

 
You can try to file a ticket with EAC however my experience with them makes me think it may not help. But i can play other games with EAC just fine, so I dont think its an EAC problem.

I play Dead By Daylight almost everyday with no problems.

Bug Description:

Occasionally, invisible zombies will attack the player. They seem to retain hit boxes and can be killed. A player on my server has reported being killed at least twice by them, and it sounds like he survived a few encounters as well. I was not present on the server at the time.

Reproduce steps:

It is unknown how to reproduce this issue at will, though when I showed the following video to my player, he said that it was exactly what happened to him:

Actual result: Invisible zombies

Expected result: No invisible zombies

 
Well I have never done a bug report but I may have uncovered a major bug. I got bored and had just unlocked the ability to make a nailgun, I was wearing nerdy glasses so it is a purple, I figured why not and put in a full auto trigger group for giggles along with a blue dye module. I had 79 nails so I loaded it and it fired once.

At this point no one could access their boxes so I restarted the server went back in and just selecting the nailgun hard locked the game on my end. I restarted the game looked in my inventory and every space was full of nails. It will not let me remove the mods without causing server problems.

It is a windows server built on windows server 2012 and had been flawless until this point. The seed is afterlife 8192 in size.

Bug Description:

Vehicles damage blocks in unexpected ways, problems mostly observed with Bicycle and Motorcycle, though other vehicles might have the same problems. For brevity, I will just use motorcycle from here on.

  • Getting off the motorcycle greatly damages the surrounding non-terrain blocks and may even flip the bike upside down
  • Going up an incline constructed of ramps or wedges damages the blocks
  • Crossing a drawbridge damages the bridge.


The above makes a player constructed garage that isn't on the ground level or doesn't use terrain blocks at all difficult to architect and maintain. This includes the use of player created roads, bridges, and structures.

Actual result: Player created structures or terrain is highly damaged by vehicles.

Expected result: No damage or maintainable damage. Perhaps as a temporary measure, disable damage to blocks by vehicles within a land claim area?

further update:

Tonight i uninstalled the game, removed all 7days and funpimp files from main folders and hidden roaming folders, delete my character profile from the server, then reinstalled the game, redownloaded server map, and i was finnaly able to get back in.

I played for about 20min then relogged to apply video settings, and was kicked for EAC validation again...

geuss im just not playing until The Fun Pimps can figure this out, ive probably put in 5+hrs of reinstalling game and deleting/redownloading game files this weekend, just to still not be able to play.

Try this...

1) Update Windows

2) Disk Cleanup (particularly if you upgraded from Win7/8 to Win10...delete old Windows files)

3) Run Virus Scan

4) Validate Steam Files

My game would crash due to EAC validation on a particular file and when I googled it these things came up as possibly solutions. I did all of them and EAC was once again happy.

Had one of these invisible Zombies, too. Dedicated Server, clean install. As far as I remember there was a wandering horde outside. I killed some of them and was surprisingly attacked...

 
Prefabs do not have ground extended to edge of prefab border, so it creates empty space and a 'trench' around the prefab.
