Not the sodas or anything (I figured much like real life, sodas are everywhere, and you get so many of them that it would be an unfair advantage, so they give a little hydrationโenough to get someone by if they have nothing else!). I did, for a while, think about putting the energy drink you see in the beverage coolers into the game (it's a blue can with a star), but I figured nah, since there is already a mega crush! I may still do that, though, as a slightly-more-common variant... whenever I get around to updating this mod (things have been very busy and hectic and not great on my end in real life so I haven't had the time or headspace to do so)!
I do believe one of the non-soda beverages does gives you half the mega crush stat (half speed, half timeโmy brain is foggy on which one, but it might be the sports drink?), and the six pack of soda you can find on store shelves does have a very, very small chance to give you up to six mega crushes (but it's definitely so rare I've only ever gotten it twice on opening them, and I play every game I start with my own mod installed, have since I released it!).
Rest assured though that apart from me adding the sodas to the same loot groups as the mega crush, the mega crush's chance to spawn remains the same. I suppose adding the other drinks in lowers the chances, but I'm fairly certain I've seen my sodas spawn alongside mega crushes when opening coolers and soda fountains. The best place to find them in the vanilla game that I've seen has been in the drink vending machinesโI think up to two or three can spawn at a time, every day or every three days?
