A16 - Welcome to Canada

I love the concept, being Canadian plus the challenge aspect. I'm in East Central Manitoba. AKA the boonies. Small town of 1400 with blazing internet speeds of 5 mbps (actually less when I test it). Since I share the connection I will have to wait a couple days before I'll be able to try out the mod. Looking forward to it!!!

Thank you SentientOne! The mod is actually quite small, Only 17 megs. So you shouldn't have too much trouble grabbing it. Glad you like the concept. Hope you have fun with it. :D

 
Is there a spot to turn down the amount of zombies or at least push back when certain zombies spawn? I like the idea of lots of zombies, and I even turned the light time to just a few hours to simulate the long winters, but running into 3 zombie cops about every 40 feet is a bit much. It feels more like a gauntlet than even survival. And omg, was running and ran into a bear vs zombie war. No kidding, about 15 zombies fighting some 10 bears.... was like "nope", and got the heck away from there by running into more zombie cops, hah.

Use to love winter. The Army cured me of that.

Not currently no but in the next update there will be some different difficulties to choose from with less zombie spawns. It can be very difficult in the beginning when playing solo i know. I will address the problem.. However sometimes when playing multiplayer it can be too easy still if you have a good team. :D

Ah, that'd be cool. I'm looking forward to it, the mod has a lot of promise in itself. I don't have much time to play every week, so it'd be hard to find a decent pve server that I'm not just left way behind or somehow in a bad spot cause of it, lol

Thanks for a great mod - the dark winter seems like a very fitting setting for a zombie acopalypse.

Yeah sorry everyone, there was some kind of problem with the mod launcher and the admin has taken my mod away. So it's no longer available for the public.. Sorry everyone.

 
The mod is available again.

The configuration was hosted on textuploader.com, and it looks like they have some kind of cloud protection, and that was blocking the mod launcher from reading it.

I re-hosted the configuration so its available again.

As always, sphereii comes through and resolves the issue. I am not using the launcher much these days but I might have to give it a go just because... :cocksure:

 
Hey guys, I'm pleased to announce that I've just updated the mod to 2.0. This is a massive update that adds and changes much of the game. Most importantly I've added a FULL VERSION for direct download for those unable to use the mod launcher. Check out the original post in this thread for more information and downloads. Big thanks to Sphereii again! <3

EDIT: 1.0 is also still available on the launcher... So no fear of losing your builds. :D

wow just finished playing mod ryan and let me say its awesome and terrifying had me on edge the whole time and i died twice on day 1 and is there anyway you can make an option for a smaller backpack? :)

Hey that's awesome. So glad you like it! Yes, when a17 comes I will be changing how the backpack works to utilize the new system. So when that happens we can have different sized backpacks. :D
