A New Chapter for The Fun Pimps and 7 Days to Die

Bro you're so bored with the PVE content offered you're building up random useless POIs and forced to play with mods to keep yourself and your viewers entertained. When I was looking at other content creators videos I stumbled upon one dude that appears to be using a shovel as his only weapon to create some form of challenge to the game. Another large creator said the game became incredibly stale and has since switched back to Minecraft. ■■■■ing Minecraft mate.

PVP has the potential to add countless hours of unpredictable content to the game. Currently reaching end game in 7DTD is effortless and once you've reached end game content there is virtually no challenge left. You can set the difficulty to insane and start a T6 POI on horde night utilizing only what you pick up in the POI for weapons and never feel as if you're in danger of dying. There is no challenge except for that first 24 hours of you spawning in.

PVE is over once you learn the game mechanics, optimize your base, and beat the environmental challenges. The experience starts to plateau quickly. PVP removes that ceiling as each encounter is wicked different. Instead of predictable Z's every encounter is a player with different goals, skill levels, and strategies. That unpredictability means no two sessions feel the same. Every player base is unique and it's unlikely you'll encounter the same POI twice. That being said, the same generic tower design seems prominent on PVP servers in 7DTD. I personally don't PVP in 7DTD as it's blatantly obvious the game doesn't inherently support it, but this game has tremendous potential as a hybrid PVE/PVP game.

they are just living under the cover, they have pvp at heart they just need to come clean about it!
No, they don't. I'm sure some of the fixes they've made help PVP, but they also just help the game in general. What fixes did you see they specifically pointed to PVP as to why they fixed it? I'll wait. You are delusional.

For who, though? Not everyone enjoys the scenarios Roland mentioned some posts up. I've never been a fan on PVP in games like this where you can lose hours of work when you're not even online to defend it. Felt the same way when I played ARK a bunch. There was no way I'd play on a PVP server where dinos that took literal hours to tame could be gone in an instant. If that's "content" to you, cool. But it isn't to me and I don't want TFP to spend any time on that as it doesn't benefit me at all. And as much as Grandpa Minion likes to make up stats, I'd bet PVPers are quite the minority in this game, so why would TFP cater to them? Just give me bandits, more quests, and if time permits other new stuff like the raft, helicopter, or new biomes. Anything that adds to game I play, which anything PVP-oriented would not do.

Jeeze no. Crank difficulty to Insane and drop loot to the minimum 25%? (I wonder if there's a mod that'd set it to like 5%) Limit firearm use to Bears, Dire Wolves and horde night.
Place your home in the Wasteland as soon as you can survive there (no cheese).
You will die on occasion if not careful. You'll die even if you are careful.

Blue & Gold Wights, Mutants and Cops will all ruin your day.

Lets make an inofficial limited poll among us forum users, see if a recent claim has any basis in reality:

If there is a difficulty setting in 7D2D (without mods) where zombies are a danger to you, like this post with

If even insane and maybe reduced loot can't give you any challenge on the other hand, like this post with :ROFLMAO:

Insane/Nightmare/Feral Sense/Max Block Damage

And that's just with the vanilla settings we have now. With Sandbox Siege and stuff like Headshots only there's no shot you can't make the PVE game absolutely agonizing.

It's also worth noting that for like 90% of the player base, Insane Nightmare alone is practically impossible because they have lives and play other games.

I really don't get wanting to PVP in 7dtd, I can't see anything it does PVP-wise that DayZ, Rust or Ark wouldn't do better. Or better yet, an actual dedicated PVP game with dedicated PVP balancing, matchmaking and ranking systems or even a professional league. I refuse to suggest one of those because I'll start a gang war but you get the idea.

At one point PVP was a part of the game, so much so that "we" still have multiple achievements for it all these years later. Maybe they should remove the achievements for PVP? it's a small thing I have seen people asking about adding or changing the achievements for years. I agree that they decided a long time ago to go in a different direction, but, I don't blame GM for wanting to keep it alive.

Hi meganoth, I'd like to report to you a post for click-bait violation... :sneaky:

I really want a game now that I don't need to depend on anyone for the experience. If I want to go to bed at 12:43, I can do so without shame or guilt or other consequences.
That said, I have nothing against those that want to PvP with 7D2D, but the devs have expressed (afaik) that PvP is low priority. We can hope that it's a priority that'll eventually receive some love, and expressing interest here keeps that thought alive.

That’s why PVP is inferior. The devs can gamestage the bandits to make sure the player has a challenging but not impossible fight vs bandits. In your video, the very first head to head shown is a fully equipped player jumping down and blasting a naked dude. No wonder you cut to to the next scene in the montage before the backpack was opened revealing a stone axe…

Maybe Behaviour with their PVP friendly devs will suggest an option for bandits to spawn camp. Wouldn’t that be fun and deliver that typical PVP feeling? AI predicts it will be so…

I have nothing against PvP in this game, and I'm all for it getting love, but only if there are literally zero compromises the primary PvE side would have to make for it. I personally have zero interest for PvP in this game.

7d2d pvp just isnt about killing, its about rivalrys and teams going back for many years, players just dont kill someone and move on they fight each other for years.
its what keeps the game going.

so yeah you would make a great pvp player in 7d2d.

so if you be testing like you claim you do than you know players have an option to not show what their wearing now. They can run around naked while wearing armor.

I can tell this response is written by AI slophead. "It's not just X it's Y, they don't just A they B"

There's no point even reading what you say.

Also this has absolutely no appeal to anyone with a mental age above 12. Yeah that's what I want in my video games "rivalry", what a terminally unemployed concept.

You can tell 7dtd PVP is absolutely AMAZING because GM has to spend all day trying to get people to play it. Dw GM i'm sure the next AI generated Reddit post or 57 second youtube clip will be the one that brings in 10M players and get's TFP to care about PVP.

Having played Shadowbane in the past, when you need to go to work in the morning and need to sleep while jobless jerk-ases can come in at 3 in the morning and burn your city to the ground, mass PVP in a game where you need to skill up to create long term stuff that is by design destructible is just crap gameplay for 99% of the gamers out there.

Let's all just agree the new armor system is hot garbage lol; the old system was way better. The DLCs are all trash as well and this game is basically hopeless unless the corporate overlords at behavior just rework everything lol We should have clothes; we should have more realistic armor, and my shirt should not also be my pants. It's just so stupid. Oh, and we still can't dye anything, but we could in the past. How did they literally go backwards?!?

How would any of that be unique to 7DTD though? That sounds like stuff that could happen in any game with PVP.

How'd you get involved with PVP in 7DTD to begin with?
