@crazywildfire Don't know if i'm rusty on mario tech, but getting on top of stage 2 in the original mario bros led to the warp pipes that take you to worlds 2, 3, and 4. Considering the text that pops up and going their legitly meant using the rising and falling platforms to jump on top, this was an intended secret. If your speaking of the glitch that allows you to go to level -1, then i get what your saying. That was a rare bug for anyone to run into in the past as it involves a pixel perfect jump into the wall, and when your at the warp pipes you can't allow screen to scroll enough for the text to come up, as that prevents the pipe from taking you to -1. The primary reasons this wouldn't bother people in any day and age is simply because it's hard enough to perform intentionally and once you understand the bug, it literally takes no time to avoid on the off chance you do clip through the wall. If your speaking of neither of these, please link a video because that's the only major things i know that's notable in mario bros. 1-2.
You did say not everything was about or towards me, but as a just in case, my purpose here should now obviously not be one of screaming "i'm done with the game," but rather encouraging others, and not just with these companies, to really consider how they like to be treated by companies that they are giving money to. Nobody purchases a game thinking they are going to have to wait a year or more from the release date to be able to play it. Pre-ordering would serve little purpose other then to get some additional goodies. I like your optimisms and hopes for this game, and i would like for the people under management level within these companies to not have their time feel wasted, but your view is from a person who has the game on multiple platforms, and if this fails you both seem happy to support the companies and still have a fine working version of the game, and this is the case for a lot of people here. Refunds certainly are out of the question and, unfortunately, this kind of bug that warrants refunds is something you wouldn't run into in a time-frame since buying the game to get the refund all too easily. On top of that, some people like me do understand that some things can slip and will give time for a fix, much like i have, which is another route to guaranteeing that you won't get a refund when you do finally realize... it isn't getting fixed.
Now for the core of your post, time and place. As i did just say, refunds are out of the question, but is one of those things that a company can offer as a resolution to someones issues with their product. Because of policy, the only person who would be able to offer me this is someone at manager level or higher, anyone below would have to stick to whatever the base policy is. This, however, would be a great route to take with someone like me. I'm pretty darn good at forgiving and forgetting, and my view on them offering a refund outside of policy would tell me "we are sorry we let you down, we can't fix your product and made a mistake, but at this point this is our only possible course of action as we tried to fix MD5 and failed." Then later down the line when 7 days 2 comes out, i would probably wait before buying it, but i'd be willing to after seeing how the games post-launch went. Down to time and place, as i said refunds are so unlikely i'm not going to contact TFP or IG as i doubt i'll get a pass on policy. Currently anyone wanting to know about patch stuff would come to news and announcements and probably this thread as it's most active. I'm not good with advertising or even setting up a blogsite, don't have means to record decent quality video for youtube, and as far as making a speech in a public manner... not sure where that would fit outside the internet. I can't exactly rally people in front of their headquarters, so that's basically what i'm doing here. I'm using their space to protest, holding my sign up and chanting "customer is always right" or some stupid crap lol. Not sure what the slogan would be, needs to be a bit catchier then that.
I've always been pretty big to adhering to forum rules. When i did my self-mutilation MD5 research for science, i had come to one of these threads a bit off topic to inform Clare that my post on the MD5 was up in bug reports. I didn't go spouting my findings here, i went to the right section of the forum. In terms of being polite, my posts have mostly adhered to this, in fact i'm fairly certain the only thing i've done aside from being "on topic" was semi-quote your censored ****head remark, which is quite ironic cuz that's really been the only moment i've been a real ****head, stating i will be one. While this entire conversation has been mostly off-topic, not talking about the current upcoming patch very specifically, i'm not currently in a state of mind to care much about this kind of forum rule. In fact, i haven't posted nearly as much as i could over the years, and mostly because of the person i am. It's simply improper to come to this kind of thread and talk about anything other then the patch, and for that i had mostly ever just gave my one-time opinion or asked a question and then, done. I have my own friends that i played the game with and it's enough for me to get my 7 days related discussions out of the way with them rather then the folk here who i know very, very little. And of course, i'm sure somewhere in the fine print of forum rules theirs something against attempts to start a boycotting revolution of any size or proportion, and for that i'm way out of line, happily-so.
@Outlaw_187 If i were to say something along the lines of "as little as you people mean to me, i don't want to start an arguement," what kind of interpretation would you get from that sentence? I'm asking you directly because, to me, i would assume the person saying this to be a complete ass. The proper interpretation as i came up with said sentence would be "look guys, we don't have much of an impact on each other outside this forum, lets have a proper discussion rather then argue over some video game." Correct me if i'm wrong, but i feel your the guy who comes up with the latter sentence after a good rereading to himself the first sentence. What i mean by that is.. it almost seems like your avoiding potential confrontation (and doing good to lol, i can't argue with "i agree" or "i understand"). I'm a very logical thinker. Not so much a psychologist so if you say everything you said is all you actually wanted to say, then i will simply say ok. I just want you to understand that i don't post my emotions, but more-so post about my emotion. This means that while i address any of the forum goers here, it will never be unconstructive or offensive. To the very least, anything that sounds offensive isn't meant to be. My "beef" isn't with anyone here.
With that note: I would like to hear what disagreements you may have, even if it's from your POV. I kept my 7 days tabs open for a only about a week after my last visits post, and before that it had been awhile since i was frequenting these forums. I don't doubt that their may have been some things i have missed in those absent months. I do have one particular statement of yours i want to address: This game should have been a ps4 exclusive. I don't disagree entirely, but i don't feel for one second that the games issues are at the core an xbox issue. Proof i may not have currently, but if anyone has an xbox one X and can confirm that they have been hit by MD5 on that particular machine, that would immediately prove it's not a hardware issue. After all, the X is more powerful then the standard PS4. I honestly should look up Xbox vs PS4 specs but i'm running on very little sleep atm. To clarify, the developers being inexperienced is the reason i believe it should be an exclusive, and i feel that had someone like capcom or namco built this game, these issues wouldn't arise on xbox, and with that it shouldn't be exclusive. I hate exclusives with a passion, and i have a ps4 specifically because the tales franchise had mostly been sony exclusives. I feel tho, exclusives have purpose, not sure the tales franchise would continue hitting the west without them as i presume that's how they've ensured making enough money to send them to the west.
@all: just wanting to say that as much as i have proofread this wall of text i'm tired as all hell right now. So i'm posting this with acknowledgement that some points may not be as clear as i generally like to be, or some points may have much more unnecessary detail that i just can't think on how to shorten it up a bit. For this, i apologize. Ima nap now
