PC Why did you ruin your game?

Back when they had jars all you had to do was make a stack of them in your forge and then go fill them up at the closest lake or stream and then forget about water.

Now you have to manage water and so many people just don't like it.

My only complaint about this version is a bear should not evaporate when I shoot it in the head with an exploding arrow. That's just not right ■■■■ it.

I'm not sure what you expect TFP to do with this post. Simply rattling off a list of things you don't like is not feedback. It's got "old man yelling at the sky" vibes.

Storms: The game BADLY needed the environment to be more varied and dangerous. The first iteration wasn't great. But they have heard the ACTUAL feedback and are making improvements.
Clothing and Armor: While some bonuses still need to be balanced, the biggest complaint with the new armor system was that players wanted more control over the cosmetic aspect-what you look like. 2.0 fixed that and they've discussed additional changes that will allow more variety to player looks.
Crafting: How exactly has it been butchered? You can't just say that and expect anyone to know what you're talking about.
Jars: GTFO with jars. Their old implementation was stupid and completely made water a non-issue. I don't mind jars being back in the game, but they need to not stack, not be craftable, and be super rare. I've seen other suggestions that jars should be THE container in the game, meaning they should be used in pretty much any recipe where the item needs be stored in some type of vessel (all drinks, food items like stews, glue, etc)
Gatekeeping: Again, you need to explain yourself. What gatekeeping are you talking about? Biome Progression? Trader Progression? Leveling? Crafting? That can mean so many things.

Now you have to manage water
Twice a day tap F-S-F-S with a turn in between (open, loot all, twice). That's the new and improved "water management" for me. With a permanent stack of murkies in the inventory - gonna get some from the next place I go to anyway, wherever I go. Cook from there as needed.

I don't think I can call that "management" even on the macroest of levels.. :)

Biome "progression" is the gatekeeping i was mentioning. WAIT ARE YOU TELLING ME TRADERS ARE LOCKED NOW?!! and no 2.0 didnt fix clothing it is still just 8 premade outfits; objectively worse than prerelease were you could mod every individual piece of armor and clothing to tailor a specific bonus

So true, dew collectors can hardly be called water management. In some ways its even easier than before because you can skip needing jars completely.

I can't help but feel that your problem there is the 'exploding' part... I mean you wouldn't have much left that's usable. Just a bloody mist and bone fragments.

The game is not ruined, it is great. Stop whining.
no, it died in July of last year. I tried to enjoy what it has become; but the direction the game is going is trash, and if you look around I'm willing to bet money hundreds (if not thousands) of people that used to play would agree with me

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: No this game did not die nor will it. There is nothing out there like 7DTD and it fits so many different play styles. The only people that are complaining somehow think that the game should be made for just them and everyone has the same opinion as them.

New content is always needed and hopefully they will keep making changes so it doesn't become stale. Whether we all like or dislike the changes as they come just play it. Or don't play it no body gives a

Ok, the game didn't die as people are still playing it just %60 of it best features did. I don't think I'm wrong to ask; why did you cut 1/4 of your game? and there are enough of us complaining to drive the positive reviews to mixed this isnt the game we bought and we all (those of us complaining) have the same list of complaints

No you don't. You get tons in POIs. You just boil it.

The issue is generally with implementation.

Storms did need some TLC glow up which it's seemingly getting.

Clothing and armor IMO is a miss. I don't enjoy the magic armor that gives immunity to fall damage. I wanted a graphical improvement, not RPG armor.

Jars for whatever reason is the main topic when it's not even 1/100th the issue

I'm guessing the progression system in general which was retconned so we're good here too.

Most of what he's asking for has been addressed and is either being fixed or at least looked at.

It isn't dead. The game is still plenty fun. At least enough for people to post on the forums about changes that happened July of last year.

I agree the direction needed some change from RPG back to survival sandbox and the developers said they understand and will look at that going forward. It will take time.

That isn't to say the game is dead or bad.

Careful with those generalizations. All you achieve with those is more angry rants... but then again, I'm sure you enjoy whining about those yourself ;)
I'm not complaining about the game, rather than stupid people with stupid posts. I'll play it as it comes. I wish I could give you my angry rant.

Just look at the tile of this post, am I the only person who believes this post should be deleted? Or a mod should swoop in and be like.....stfu???

it wouldn't show a lot of faith in their product if they did, if it is a great game as you are insisting my complaints don't mean much.

It didn't ruin the game, a game that is still being worked on. If the post was like "why the latest update ruined the game for ME and I cant stand any change that effects my playstyle and I cant adjust to any changes even tho I have little bars to remove about anything I don't like" I probably wouldn't care.

If people get to talk smack about the game I reserve the right to defend it.
