I miss the variety of bases you used to be able to make. Now most of the base designs are centered around make zombie get to x point, then fall off and run back again.

Im on day 42 and have plenty of eggs. You quickly move past bacon and eggs and use the eggs for far better foods like pies. I loot any birds nests I come across and do find some in kitchens I think. Feeding 2 people I do run out of eggs but by that point Im making stew and stuff that are better...

All my houses are surrounded in spikes. Vehicles can go through them so no need to put an entrance. My base in the wasteland has 2 deep iron spikes all around it. Ive onde up to 5 layers of spikes before. Never deal with screamers and their hordes. Dire wovles get through ti but theyre not hard...

haha yea I just made a 6 steel. Thought it was 5 slots xD still the same point, easily filled with quality mods.

I dont mind it. Day 21 horde night with 2 players total. I have had most of the books funneled to me as the base @%$#. 80/100 harvesting tools, max salvage tools, max armor, 74/100 robotics, 91/100 food, 83/100 vehicles, 58/75 traps. Books really arent hard to get and encourage actual looting...

The pick has plenty of mods that can go on it. The blade mod would be cool but wouldnt really serve a purpose. You can put a grip mode, iron breaker, stone breaker, a weighted head and a gravedigger on it. Theres your 5 for max level.

Every work station does. Campfire also does.

mmm I never actually used it because it was inconvenient. Swapping it everytime I need to drink and having it in my inventory is annoying. We have one in our mod box in case we want to use it. I have far better uses for those slots.

Yes though they seem to have been nerfed hard. I used to get a bunch of gems from them, now its been rather meh.  We havent seen any silver, gold or diamond and weve done 4 of them now.
