I wouldn't like your chances with a bow & arrow in the prison. With the trigger system stealth is absolutely pointless and you're going to get swamped before you fire the third arrow.

Personally I'm really looking forward to the new infestation quest type. Mid to late game I'm mostly questing specifically to kill zombies rather than get the end loot. It's good mindless fun.
For variety, I think some kind of parkour quest type might be nice for those who want a different...
I have no problem with it either but then I'm not likely to use it. The old one looked functional enough but I can see how you'd think it's boring. If you really want boring, check out the auger.
Frames don't take a lot to make but then I use multiple forges. It's worth it for me especially when my build requires multiple layers of steel and waiting for cement to dry holds up my build. The other benefit is I can use frames to map out ideas and if they look good I just fill them in...
The pay off is in time. You don't have to wait for concrete to dry and upgrade again. You can just upgrade the frame and paint.

You reload while zoomed in. You have to give it time to actually reload. It just plays the animation again when you zoom out which is in the known bugs.
There's a lot of textures that I'm missing from A16 like a real black and good solid colours. I think a fresh coat of paint should look like a fresh coat of paint and not something that's been sitting in the sun for a decade. It would also be nice to paint a base texture and then stamp an icon...
