Really? Cause I thought the money came from the kickstarter that was supposed to fully fund this how many years ago? Or the whole console debacle where there was zero way for this game to release fully there no matter what they did due to rules within Playstation and Xbox about not breaking game...
I am gonna try to keep this simple. Player since release on steam. I have seen this game grow over time. Some good (getting rid of 5x5 crafting ) some bad.
The whole point of early access is to grow the game WITH your player base. Fix issues that arise but keep a focus and vision.
Now I hear...
Also you might want to check your mouse settings in windows. Turning off pointer precision can help in advanced mouse settings cause it does not play nice with some games.
Ah you must be new here. There is a reason the system is the way it is. It used to be the system was WAY broken. It could be snowing in the old days and your clothing would cause you to be dying of heat. Honestly it used to be constant clothes swap. So here is the question do you want to play...
Ok so we limit path finding. Then we are right back to horde cubes. Unpredictability is nearly impossible to make a effective threat with the current Zed skills. Concrete can survive any solo zombie minus the Demo. Now a demo that random blows up would add some fear. But is that fair gameplay? ...
Problem is nothing is solved changing just the rules of Horde Night. All things are defeated with time for preparation. There is literally nothing the Devs can change about that event to make it harder that cannot be undone with player preparation. The balance is about time management. We are...
Here are my suggestions.
Bring back the smell system. If your carrying raw meat it should be drawing attention even from the predators
Sleeper Zombies should have better sense in wake conditions . Scare closets work only once. Sleepers should only be effective for stealth builds. Otherwise...
We have already had that. Go back to A12 and it was just dumb zombies trying to get to you. It adds no randomness or scalability because every entity still has to be calculated by the CPU. The number of zombies will always cap in Unity because of resource management. Right now you can go into...
The issue is 100% minimum system requirements. If you actually look at the XML for feral hordes you would actually find they do what you want them to. The issue is players have found ways to break the AI and simplify horde nights. It used to be you build a cube on the ground and you were ok...
So because something is offensive it must be removed? Lets go down the list of everything possibly offensive to everyone and remove it all. Welcome to Hello Kitty Island Adventure. We would not have a game if we bend to the will of everyone who might be offended. They exist in the real world...
Ok I was trying to modify zombie spawns in open world as I feel your a little too safe at night. I wanted to keep daytime relatively safe my problem is I originally set things to test behavior:
<spawn maxcount="6" respawndelay=".2" time="Day" entitygroup="ZombiesAll" />
<spawn...
Yeah its all part of the block culling for optimization. Its similar to what minecraft does now but more aggressive. It will only load what you are directly looking at I have also noticed connected textures will sometimes disappear too when upgrading. Its all part of that balance for video...
The running out of ram generating the map I have never seen. Granted I am running 32 GB but I have run out trying to load a game that was 8k. As for the wasteland it was intended to be a fallout zone where it got nuked hence the whole "radiated zombies" those explosions tend to be a circular...
Ram has very little to do with actual generation time. It is all CPU bound. If you have a under performing CPU it will take longer. I would suggest generate a few in Nitrogen. You get all of the removed POIs back. and you can fine tune and even get a full map of your world.
Usually its people who are good at scripting and connecting the Twitch channel chat to a RCON or Controller for your server. I saw the developers doing a stream where they were experimenting with adding this officially but it is still in prototype.
