Nah, not hindsight at all, just basic understanding of the situation. They asked him to do something, he said no. He supposedly offered some half-assed alternatives, they said no and repeated their request. Did he just think if he ignored it it would just go away? Not a very smart business strategy...

No is always an option, proven by the fact that's what Woodle went with. Was it the right option? Doesn't seem so to me but I guess we'll find out. Just seems pretty shortsighted on his part to throw away future early access, and potentially all 7 Days content over a few bucks worth of editing costs. He's just being stubborn and just hurting himself. Unless all these supposed supporters of his lock in on his other content I don't see him surviving. Even his 7 Days views seem to have dropped, but they still easily trump all other content he puts out. So he'd better hope all these people saying they have his back actually tune in to all of his future videos.
Right. But if the request is "Take it down yourself, or we will" it's a whole other thing than "a friendly request". If the requester is unwilling to entertain your worries over it, it's not friendly. I don't see why Woodle would need to be friendly when the other party is having none of it.
Sure, it isn't all of his revenue, but it's one of few times he normally streams. And obviously some of his most highly viewed videos and streams due to all the eyes that come in on streamer weekends. Basically like a bonus he is giving up. Just losing that alone won't break him, but who knows if he will keep making 7 Days content at all now. That's more what I was getting at. But maybe he will keep making 7 Days stuff. No different than the Prebuilt guy constantly crying about hating having to play the game because it's the only thing that gets views on his channel, yet he's still making 7 Days content.

Now, I'm a coward; I would've taken it down just for that. Maybe made a "Sorry guys, TFP ■■■■ed up my video" out of spite, later - after the stream event. Good cash for drama and very little possibility of takedown, if done cautiously. Cuz eff em, at that point.
He doesn't need to be in the creator program to keep making 7dtd content; he'll miss the streamer weekends, that's it. His continued absence will remain a funny little sore spot on TFP's reputation. I hope he starts making something "stupid" for streamer weekend instead, but I don't think he's as vengeful as I am ...

Obviously. Ain't no-one stopping a creator from getting a job. But ain't no-one forcing TFP to be petty, either. I'd have done things differently on both ends, but "being TFP" would be a lot more financially secure atm. A no-brainer.
