In what way would it change anything for you? If they don't do streamer weekend, they will still release experimental on Monday. It won't change anything for you. They are smart enough not to release it over the weekend. As was pointed out by a dev on the previous page, streamers find a lot of the major bugs so they can be fixed before everyone else gets experimental. This saves people having a lot of problems as soon as experimental is out. That's a good thing.I agree, this isn't the greatest move of them, I don't even like the streamer thing, just do a public release and people who want to watch others play can do so and those who just want to play or update their mods can do so as well, but it is what it is.
I don't see the difference between users finding the bugs and streamers finding the bug, this is after all an "experimental" branch, it's also not like that all the bugs will be found during the weekend. In what way would it change anything for you? Also, based on what many mod authors have said over the years, most won't update their mods until stable because there can be changes during experimental that will break them again. Better to update at stable than to have to update it multiple times during experimental. So, again... it doesn't really affect anything.
If I caused a drinking problem: Smoke grass?
There are sometimes game breaking bugs during streamer weekend. The vast majority of players who do experimental aren't playing experimental as a beta test the way it's intended to be played. They expect it to work as if it was stable. TFP lets the smaller set of players (streamers) test it out over the weekend to find any really noticeable bugs and fix them before the rest of the players get a chance to try it. TFP even said that's one of the reasons, so it's not me making it up. It's a valid reason and there really isn't any valid reason to let everyone play it starting on Friday right before the weekend when most devs are not working and then have serious bugs that can't be fixed until Monday rather than just making it available on Monday. The streamers are out of luck if there are serious bugs found that can't be fixed until Monday, but they are a far smaller number of players. Sorry, but even if you don't like it, it's a good decision.I don't see the difference between users finding the bugs and streamers finding the bug, this is after all an "experimental" branch, it's also not like that all the bugs will be found during the weekend.
As for the mods, I disagree, some might want to wait, some might not, in my experience there are typically not any drastic changes during experimental. But like I said, it is what it is and I will definitely not convince them to change it, this is purely my opinion on that matter.
Spot on! Seek help to get your hands stable.I know it was a bit obscure.... Maybe, depending on circles.... So I will explain, ... I was drinking an elixir, I almost spewed it, which is "alcohol abuse" ergo a "drinking problem".
