People who have been here long enough will remember this one.
"it will be done when its done"Should we expect an experimental version of 2.6 this week?

Maybe. I see two more fixes were merged to 2.6 today, so another build and testing.Should we expect an experimental version of 2.6 this week?
An endgame with story is still planned. It will be post bandits. We are actually doing parallel development on 3.0 and 4.0, with some devs focusing on one or the other, or in my case, doing both. We have some interesting features planned.@faatal
Greetings. I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for all the work you've been doing here. Bugs, imbalances, and other minor issues happen in absolutely every project—I've noticed that these are being fixed and balanced over time, and that's encouraging. In any case, we're waiting for 2.6 to see what new features have been "brought into the game." And yes, unfortunately, I still haven't found a complete list of what's coming in this update. I'll probably study it after it's released.
If I remember the roadmap correctly, you plan to add a full-fledged storyline for quests in some future XX version. I'd like to clarify: Will you be adding dialogue mechanics with NPCs?
A lot of people are currently trying to create their own quest chains to add variety to the game. But all of these chains are based on starting the next quest by using a new item, and receiving those items as a reward upon completing the previous one. A huge drawback of this solution is that the player can receive two rewards and there's no way to lock in the choice. Ultimately, creating any chain with a variety of choices is nearly impossible. There are casters and complex traversal schemes, but all of this ruins the game's simplicity.
How difficult is it to add such a mechanic to the game, and are such interactions with NPCs even planned?
Killing an opossum with a magnum?Truly my magnum opossum... I mean opus
I really like the idea that Parallel development is being employed. An endgame with story is still planned. It will be post bandits. We are actually doing parallel development on 3.0 and 4.0, with some devs focusing on one or the other, or in my case, doing both. We have some interesting features planned.
We have talked about other ways of getting quests besides traders, so I expect it will become more flexible and varied in future versions.
Version numbers are changing. There will be less .x versions and more x.0 versions.
Thanks for the quote."it will be done when its done"
No. It's not every time, but I still sometimes use 2 bandages when using them from the hotbar. Granted, it's possible my mouse is accidentally double-clicking, but even that shouldn't use 2 bandages.I'm currently still time traveling did they ever fix that issue of consuming 2x meds when you use them from the hotbar?
It is a flow of development as in every software no matter Cheese Factory Inventory Management or 7 Days to die, no one really can say when, only info we can get is what is worked on.I really like the idea that Parallel development is being employed.
Not long ago you posted this
So when you say the company is working on 3.0 and 4.0...it sounds great, but, "we" don't know how things have been subdivided further, or if you are referring to the original numbering...can you speak on this? or are "we" waiting for the updated road map to explain it?
you guys just see what you want to...I did not ask for any dates. I asked for clarity about his post as it related to his recent post.It is a flow of development as in every software no matter Cheese Factory Inventory Management or 7 Days to die, no one really can say when, only info we can get is what is worked on.
It is not a simple thing to give dates, unexpected things happens and takes time to find out what`s the cause and how to solve it. That`s why we don`t ask for dates. Or and updated road map.
So you see, it was Madmole that said they are going to announce one...that post was almost 2 months ago.Part of the community has been unhappy with us working on RPG elements (which broke and sometimes causes the removal of systems like smell and weather) so we brought back a lot of much needed survival elements. That said, me and 1-2 programmers can knock out the new gun and skill system while 98 other pimps work on bandits first, then story last. Not everyone works on one feature, so just because I say we're doing this or that doesn't mean the bandit progress meter flatlines or goes back to zero. Bandits are required for the main story, so they will come in a couple phases, then the story after that.
We are working on bandits and will start previewing some stuff real soon. We'll announce an updated roadmap too. I think we might even start putting previews of what's coming in the news launcher so anyone playing the game will know everything that's coming without getting on social media.
Digging into numbers won`t make you find the right one. You don`t even know who MM is and how much he contributed and is part of this game to blame him about stuff that is only in your head. Drop it. Move on....almost 2.
