PC What else is planned for 2.0?

2.0 has been finished for months. They are releasing 2.5 next. Why is this so hard for some people to understand.
Yeah. You can't say that 2.0 isn't finished, because it is. We're past 2.0. It's done and gone. If someone wants to say that 2.x isn't finished, then that would be accurate. But they can't say 2.0 isn't finished. 2.0 is a single specific version of the game. We are now on 2.4, which is a single specific version of the game. Both are complete. 2.x is a series of versions and will not be complete until the last 2.x version is released before going to 3.0. Not exactly hard to understand. It's just an excuse to complain, and not even a good one even if it was accurate.

IF THEY HAVE TO FIX IT...IT AIN'T DONE. I really don't get why THAT is so hard to grasp. 2.0 will not done until all the fixes are in. and since some of the "town hall" changes won't be in until 3.0 AND those changes are going to delay 3.0...there's probably good reason to wonder when that will happen, and IF they are going to further delay 3.0 by adding ANYTHING ELSE before 3.0...sorry, but, go read the comments on any of their posts...about anything...it's a whole lot of "finish your game" or "finish your first game" "where are the Bandits". I am just the rare one that comes HERE to say it. A ridiculously over protective of the devs Public Forum.

Let it go. You re not gonna win. I know you think you are, but you re not. Welcome back by the way! Learnt anything?

Posts where? X? Facebook? Youtube? Are you seriously trying to use toxic spew like that as an argument? I just went looking for an old YT video covering mods and happened to see a comment and some replies talking about how it's taking TFP so long to add bandits but modders have already done it, so TFP should just hire the modders. Of course they don't realize the foundation of mods' bandits is TFP code. Those are the types of posts you're gonna use to try and prove your idiotic points? Or the people whining about Blood Moons, not even realizing there is an entirely separate dev team focused on it, while TFP just provide support where needed?

You might be less intelligent than I gave you credit for, and trust me, I wasn't giving you much. Not sure why they keep letting you come back.

This is where it gets confusing. 2.0 is done and has been released months ago. Then there was 2.1, 2,2... And so on.
The next one will be 2.5
That's why I mentioned earlier that TFP should have the thread named as 2.X (or just call it update 2) since nobody knows how many versions (2.0, 2.1, 2.2...) there will be by the end of it. Calling it 2.0 is a mistake. Update are not done until the last update is released, whichever one that might be (could even be a 2.7!!!).

I know there's a lot of toxic comments on X. I see it all the time, but often by the same people.
People don't realize that the bandits in mods are, as you said, original TFP codes, which TFP decided was not up to par with what they wanted in the game decided to way until major are done on them. Some Modders use the code to create new bandits and some are okay and many are just awful and not good enough to be in 7 Days to Die. Some people will take anything crappy as better than nothing but I prefer quality over quantity.
The bandits are getting closer every day to what TFP wants and eventually we'll get them... When it's done!

hey...I correct them about that too. I tell them that modders are manipulating the code TFP deliberately left in.
So take your bs attacks and shove em.

It really not complicated.

2.0 is the entire Major Update or Road Map Marker...however you want to say it.
2.x's are steps taken to get the point that ALL of the content intended was added...that's when 2.0 is overall complete. You can all Stop splitting hairs.

People been waiting for the 2.0 fixes...hopefully we get the bulk of them with 2.5 in early December. The rest will not come until Q1 2026 and hopefully no later. The "town hall" changes are apparently going to be somewhat split between 2.0 and 3.0

It has sounded like there might be some other stuff that we don't know about, that might also come before 3.0
So I am asking if there is...because that delays 3.0 even farther and there is stuff from the "town hall" that people are still waiting for...so they should clear that up.
Public sentiment is only going to get more hostile IF they don't start taking control of the narrative by speaking. I know I am only getting angrier.

All of the intended content for 2.0 was added to 2.0. There was nothing missing, broken, or incomplete. The devs fully intended to stabilize and move on. I challenge anyone to read the list of 2.0 features on the roadmap and state what was missing when 2.0 released. Nobody can because nothing was missing. What is happening now is enhancement and iteration-- alot due to community feedback. New content not originally planned for 2.0 is being added.

In the end they are all just version numbers. They could call what we have right now 3.0 and the next version in early December 4.0 and then the next version 5.0 and so on if they wanted. The point is that the game continues to evolve and change and new versions are completely new game states. The truth is that their main trunk is already 3.0 and that is what they work off of. When they release 2.5 it will be a branch they took from 3.0 with the features they wish to include. They do not have version 2.0 loaded on their computers they are not editing and making changes to that version. 2.0 is a dead version at this point. We are already 4 major iterations beyond it.

If someone were to wait until 2.6 to play the game and think that what they were playing was 2.0 they would be wrong. Anyone who played the actual 2.0 build and then the 2.7 build would see many differences. If someone refuses to play 2.0 or 2.1 or 2.2 or 2.3 or 2.4 they will never know what those versions were like. People who purchase the game after 2.5 releases will never know what 2.0 was like unless they load up the beta version of 2.0 on steam and try it. Console players who purchase the game after 2.5 will never know what 2.0 was like.

good grief
2.0 Storm's Brewing is the name of the update
when they are done with it they will move on to 3.0
my question is still are they planning ANYTHING ELSE before "we" get any 3.0 content. because THAT would delay the "town hall" content that is apparently being pushed off UNTIL 3.0

I just put him on ignore so I don't even have to see his posts. I still see when people reply to him, so I can tell that he's still going on about this stuff, but I don't have to see what he says anymore. It's been nice. There just isn't any reason for me to spend time on a troll. He'll never listen, so what's the point?

Actually 2.0 is not part of the update name as you can see in the official roadmap.

You can clearly see that Storm's Brewing is called Update 1. Version 2.0 was the build that brought that first update but it isn't any part of the name. You can see all of the promised content down below.

Weather System.... check
Biome Progression.... check
Wardrobe System.... check
Crossplay.... check
Random Gen for Consoles.... check
Additional zombie stages.... check
Spawn near friends.....check
Twitch Drops....check
Outfit DLCs...check

Since then we've had 4 newer versions of the game that have brought changes, enhancements, and more additional content never originally planned for 2.0 and more is coming in 2.5. There really is only one reason anyone would doggedly stick to putting a 2.0 label on versions 2.4 and soon to be 2.5 and that is to feed their own anger over how long past the original estimate that game has gone. That's fine for you to think of the versioning numbers however you wish. But I'm also going to post an alternate viewpoint to yours for people to consider.

You can say "It's November of 2025 and we are still on 2.0" to kindle the flames of your discontent. Meanwhille everyone else is playing version 2.4 and looking forward to experiencing the changes and new gamestate that version 2.5 will bring.

Dano, faatal has already given us estimates for 2.5 and 2.6 in terms of what features should be coming and in which updates, but this info can become inaccurate/incorrect in a blink of an eye. This can make it difficult for him or anyone else on the team to give precise information.
yes, my specific question is are they planning on adding anything else, that we have not been told about, before 3.0, anything else that will delay us getting 3.0? Bdubs may not like the comment section, but, those people are the majority who do not come to the forum...they are the "10%" who comment. and they are the ones not buying blood moons because "finish your first game" IS the narrative. TFP Not communicating IS biting them on the butt.

I did read that, it happened a few days before. lol. I appreciate that he ball parked the probability of each thing, and that they are hoping for early December for 2.5...that leaves 2.6 for January...hopefully no 2.7 will be required.
But they did say that some of the "town hall" stuff would be released with 3.0...so if 3.0 is going to be delayed further it would be nice to know...no?
In case it needs to be said, I am not asking them to reveal the content IF they do have plans to add more before 3.0, just that they give us a heads up.
it is just courtesy...and yeah I do think being this late should drive them to change how often they communicate.

"everyone"? I have not counted them, and there is no club house, but, there are more than a few people who have said they stopped playing because of 2.0 and are waiting for the changes. More than a few content creators too. So, unless you can convince the management to release the numbers for console daily players...there's no point in bringing them up. Works both ways...I can't use my "proof" about people not playing either.
I already said that 2.0 would not be done this year, about a month ago maybe longer?...that the entire length of the roadmap would be used to not get one major update complete. I am not saying that thru clenched teeth. What gets my goat is the gas lighting. The lack of communication. The denialism in general.

Your 2.0 is not Storm's Brewing...man...I can't say the words I want to. We both know Storm's Brewing is 2.0...they are synomynous. You go to great lengths...they really should pay you. imo
