How long until you guys unlock the loot cap?

Hi,

Are you able to do a hotfix to just unlock the loot cap now until you make the major update to change the things you mentioned in the Town Hall?

Also is there a way you can keep your major updates from breaking saves. On console this is very annoying so I had to shut off all updates. On PC in Steam they can choose which version we can't

Thanks

"A way", no. If there was, they'd be doing it. But each major release changes things like skill trees, blocks; those cause major issues when not updated properly. Every patch breaks the old in unique ways, so there's no way to make it universal.

Okay then they need to finalize the core of the game and quit changing the main systems and just add to them in future patches like new POIs etc

Also to address how the Devs wish they made the game different they couldve just made a whole new game instead of reworking the original version into what it is now.

A hotfix is something used to fix a problem that can't wait until a normal update. Loot caps aren't a bug. They'll get updated whenever they do the next version. If they aren't in 2.2 EXP (I didn't read the patch notes on it), then they might be in 2.3 or may still get added in 2.2 if finished before 2.2 is stable. Things will get added in new versions as they are finished.

And the game is not final until 4.0. If you can't deal with starting new games, then don't play an unfinished game. Wait until 4.0 when it is finished. Saves are going to break for 3.0 and 4.0 (not a guarantee, but extremely likely). They may break for minor updates, but that's not too common. It's what you have to accept if you're going to play games that are still being developed. They try to avoid breaking saves, but when you add enough new content and changes, there's little you can do.

The old version of the game wasn't a finished version of the game. Do you suggest that they stop making a game and leave it unfinished just because you like certain things in that version that were placeholders or unfinished and to make a new game instead? That's kind of crazy.
