PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

Speaking of screamers...I've had numerous charged/infernal zombies in pois but even at gamestage 600 plus they haven't been called in by any screamer scream, are they excluded from screamer hordes and only seen in pois and bloodmoons?
Charged and Infernals start at "scoutHordeStageGS234" with a 25% probability of spawning. It skips some gamestages and at gamestage 322 the probability increases to 50% and stays that way until the 1000s where there are no probability values which I assume means there's a 100% chance of spawning.

EDIT: I'm not 100% sure how XML works. After looking some stuff up, values might be considered as sums of all values. So a ".25" probability would be less than 25% relative to the probability values of every other zombie in the group.

Posting a log file is easy and there's some kind of tutorial I think somewhere in the forums.
For a video, you could always clip part of someone's video where you see the same error. Or you can use Steam to record if you turn the option on.

But if you don't to do any of that, then it's on you as it will not get fixed unless a proper bug report is made so that the TFP staff makes a ticket for it.
You can always write on the forums that you need help in creating those files and people will be happy to help.

There's a section on how get and post a log file.

It's a diopter drum sight. Pretty much the classic rear sight for HKs. The only problem I see with it is the top of the drum is WAY too high; the hole should be positioned just under the rim, not halfway down the drum.

Oh, boy. I just realized what TFP did. Looking at the ingame model (not the photo posted above), the devs basically took the elevation and windage turrets off of a scope... and kitbashed them into a really cheesy drum sight.

TFP, I love you guys, but holy hell that is so lazy.
We have a recent ticket open for improving the SMG sights. I just added my research to it. Basically bigger hole nearer to top, tilt drum down more and move gun farther from camera as I hate the in your face sights on any of our guns.

So I turned off storms in my current run, I'm in the burnt biome, and a storm has started. Eh?
It is a normal storm or a damaging storm? Normal storms can always happen. Setting storms to 0 only disables damaging storms.

It is a damaging storm. I've also had storms disabled since the beginning of the run. Apologies I did not record a log. :)
 
I wonder if it's an issue with changing the setting mid-game once the timers are already enabled.
I do see an issue with the storms not stopping immediately if you set it to 0. I have a fix for that for 2.2.

I looked at the code and see no issue with the setting being off (0).

I don't know. It could be jiggle script doing it.

Even if it isn't your department, should we expect the Pig model anytime soon, or you thing it's more a 3.0 thing?

Have no clue on the pig.
Storage mod is my task, but no time for it. Once the inventory/storage overhaul is done, which may be a few months, I will evaluate and see where we are and either do it or pass it to our programmer task pool for whoever wants it as bandits will be getting much of my attention soon.

Bold anyone can find one! All I have EVER found lately are chickens, noodles, rabbits and 1 or 2 deers. And a coyote

Not counting the snow. Cougars are everywhere

(I know he's talking about the pink pig but I gotta voice! Darn zombies ate all the wildlife or the bandits did)

I mean it's not an either or situation. Adding the dump chest mod doesn't remove your ability to continue playing *exactly* like you already do, all you would do is not build or use the dump chest

Not having a huge quality of life option for people who do want it, just so you can manually put stuff in each chest is asinine.

Even more so, because with the dump chest you do still manually do it anyway. You dump all your stuff in the dump chest and it sends it to where there's already a stack, and leaves the rest.

Then you take the rest back out and go put it where it needs to go so that next time it will know where it goes

It's purely QoL with zero downsides. Don't like it? Don't use it. The mod author has already done the work of making it work with the game, so it seems like a prime QoL mod for the devs to reverse engineer / integrate

Everybody asking for a preferred feature always thinks it's about other people not liking it if they oppose it.
But that's not the reason. The reason is because implementing it will cost developer time that could be used on something that we need/like more.

Not to mention that last I heard, the concept of this mod was news to Rick, so to anyone holding their breath it gets added eventually, try not to suffocate.

Sense you ask, I did put that on the bottom the pig vs boar.

I would hope most people know other names for mountain lions, cougars, panther (if you don't know animals) American lion, big kitty, I trust faatal knows what a cougar is.

The snake/noodle is called that Since do to how helpless they are! They're begging to be turned into a meat stew

They seem very blind to mods up until recently.

I hope they keep they're eyes open or even potentially hire them, highly doubt the last one but hey! Who knows. Or at the very least get inspired

Now we basicly have the darkness falls zombie types (at least 1 color)
