Hello Survivors!

While the team is working hard to get out v2.0 in the near future, we have a small, but important v1.4 update for you all. This update addresses the looping music issue, several reasons why bigger POIs were not able to be completed and a big backend change for Twitch to address the shutting down of the "pub sub" system mid April.

Here is how you participate: 

  • Right click on the game in steam
  • Click on properties
  • Click the “betas” tab
  • The drop down menu will have latest_experimental available <— you want THAT
  • Select that and wait for the game to download



*As always we don't expect this update to break anything, but recommend a new save to be sure.

In additional news, as we get closer to a solid build for v2.0, be on the lookout for Dev Stream announcements!

Changed 

  • Migrated Twitch Integration to the EventSub API to prepare for the upcoming deprecation of PubSub architecture



Fixed 

  • Issues with DMS music cutting out and looping prematurely
  • Twitch Shared Chat fires chat commands on all streams
  • Bug report button in the options > general menu should be hidden on Mac and Linux
  • Server/MP client Vending Machine dupe with medium+ ping
  • Sleeper volume would not be marked clear if all enemies killed before min script ended
  • Sleeper volume min script will fail to spawn zombies if group name is wrong so quests may not be completable
  • Sleeper volume min script triggers don't work if player is outside the POI bounds

Super. I have a question, do I need to wipe my server when the new 2.0 version will be there?

Prossibably. (The uncomfortable combination of possibly and probably lol) .  

If you want all of the changes that they have made, upgrades to pois, etc.  If not then it might be compatible. 

 
Yep, that's what I thought, cause we want to start a new game and if we built a base instead of taking a poi it should be fine I guess.

 
No. V1.4 does not require a new save game. A save game from V1.0 was tested without issue on all updates up to V1.4.

Yes. V2.0 will require a new save game due to the new and reworked perks, new POI's, new game settings, optimizations, and other under the hood data changes.
Still nothing on Mutated Zombies on horde night ;)

My guess they are just going to be the biome specials like the desert spitter

I'm liking the "MWHAHAHAHA". I have a feeling that means more than just Mutated zombies.

Besides the Plague Spitter, how many more new zombie models will there be in 2.0?

I know there's more special infected, but will there be new regular zombie models as well?

My guess in terms of specials Is 4. 1 per biome aside from the forest cuz they want the forest too be safe lala land where rainbows blast out of zombies asses. 

I'm hoping for more cuz 7dtd needs more specials for horde night too spice things up. Like demos for example

They said one new zombie for each biome.  Forest might not be included in that, though.  And whether or not we'll get all of them for experimental is anyone's guess.

 
When 1.4 goes stable, it will be released on all platforms. Depending on the amount of bugs found, it could take a week or so (maybe more).

You're going to start a new game with 1.4, then another with 2.0???
1.4 for all platforms when it's stable? Where does it say that?
