Based on the snippets provided, the writer's personality can be described as:

  1. Assertive and Direct: The writer doesn't shy away from expressing their opinions forcefully and directly. They are unafraid to criticize and call out inefficiencies or perceived shortcomings.
  2. Frustrated but Solution-Oriented: While their tone reflects frustration, they seem to be motivated by a desire for improvement and progress. They advocate for timely communication and transparency, suggesting they value efficiency and accountability.
  3. Blunt and Honest: The writer expresses themselves with a no-nonsense attitude, using strong language ("pull their head out," "goddamn feral") to emphasize their points. They appear to value honesty and clarity over diplomacy.
  4. Perfectionist and Critical: They hold others to high standards, particularly regarding communication and meeting expectations, and are quick to point out when those standards aren't met.
  5. Confident and Unyielding: The writer seems confident in their perspective, asserting that they are "not wrong" and criticizing others for avoiding accountability or admitting fault.

This combination suggests a personality that is driven, outspoken, and results-focused, but likely polarizing due to their uncompromising approach.

Sorry, you're right. I'll never ever defend TFP again in my life since I basically got perma-banned on Steam for doing just that.

You're fully right and you should keep going accusing them of all those things. Good luck! ;)

Good grief...do you not take any responsibility?  good luck with that.

I am the guy screaming about communication.

Yes...TFP will make a release when it serves them.  This last patch broke some console players bases...crossplay gets questions everyday...these are things that should be addressed in community posts. Not just maybe something on this site...across all their socials. Take a look at how many console threads are going unanswered or followed up on. Can't help but point out it is a problem between two communities who have had VASTLY different experiences with this game...and these developers. There were three dev streams pre launch...not even one just for console users. We were not welcome to ask console questions...there was no console game play...there was no TFP talking to the console base. So NO...they are not good at communicating.

Lol.  Again with this.  Is there even an experimental going right now?  I may have missed one, but I don't think one is going.  They certainly aren't going to jump into 1.3 without one.

Apparently his deadline is different from that of the Fun Pimps.

Gosh it must be nice not to have work / job to worry about to play so much. Perhaps i should go on disability too... haha.
Tell me old wise one, what ailment can i present to obtain such bliss freedom yet still have to crunch this game into the hours your soul has donated to a game such as this? :-]

Where is the list of benefits by the hour? I might have enough to get something.

I thought putting in the order cost you 25,000 hours. You've already spent those hours, right? Your balance should be down to 812.8 now.

Hey! I gave you a win!

Take it and leave me alone, or I'll unleash on you the full power of my troll army!  :heh:

Nobody gave me a win. I am sorry if you or anyone else thinks I play too rough. I am tired of apologists side stepping, dodging or just plain avoiding answering things that hurt their narrative.

I hear you, but, you know I am not wrong. Someone from TFP needs to pull their head out of wherever it is and give an official update of some kind. I keep advocating for them to do something that will help THEM. These guys seemingly wouldn't wipe their ass to save their last pair of clean underwear.

They want to be a gaming company for consoles and PC...communication might behoove them.
I have the solution.

What would be needed is for Rick and Joel to start cracking the whip. Like some CEOs tend to do, they need to make the dev's lives miserable so results will be delivered within a timeframe that you might deem satisfactory.

Their livelihood and the wellbeing of themselves and their families should be put on the line so you and I can play this game.

FFS...I just went thru this same @%$#ing conversation on another thread. Expecting TFP to meet their own deadlines isn't me slapping the whip on to their staff. NO ONE is telling TFP to abuse their staff. Stop gaslighting.

Gaslighting. When did this word, that was never part of people's natural vocabulary, all of a sudden become so popular?

Anyway, I am very likely correct on this. Products and services that advance quickly are usually the result of workers being overly stressed and ultimately mistreated.

But if you have intimate knowledge of game development and intimate knowledge of how 7 Days to Die functions, then please enlighten us on why it is so wrong that they can't meet their "subject to change" deadlines.

I'm sure you can find the answers to many of your questions by reading the responses made by the devs here. You don't even have to comb through threads. All you have to do is click on a dev's profile and read all their posts.

I have a curiosity question, regarding consoles and the statement
about geometry causing things to fall through the world. Are they
falling through terrain, or through poi blocks?

I play on pc, but I am still curious. If it is terrain could it be
the algorithm on console that generates the biome png is responsible.
What I mean is if the color in a pixel area is off even by 1, example
0 64 0 is burnt, if a biome pixel of 0 63 0 is created; it used to make
things fall through the world, and mess up structural integrity of anything
placed on top of that area. On pc I can import into photoshop, and temporarily
index it to see how many colors are in the png, if total is different than 5
then I know there is a problem. But how would it be verified for console for
troubleshooting?

If it's a poi block then please ignore the above.

Anyone that knows feel free to answer.

Brilliant pivot: it's not even their fault they can't meet their deadlines. It's not their fault they sold the roadmap as being something they would deliver ...on time.

it's never their fault. Anyone who doesn't get that MUST be a small minded @%$# who just doesn't understand ANYTHING.

Or maybe some of us understand that a target date, while great to have, should never be set in stone if they run into issues.  They can meet their target dates and release a product that they are not comfortable with, or miss the target date to address the issues they found so what they deliver is much better.

CD Projekt Red had to delay Cyberpunk 2077 to December 2020 (original slated for release in April 2020) to address issues that arise during testing.  They were at "Gold" status in September but felt the need to spend more time addressing issues that still persisted.  Unfortunately they should have delayed the console release for the game since the PC version ran fine but the console version had a lot of bugs / performance issues that the PC version didn't (sounds familiar). - I have the PC version.

Interesting (and obviously sad), CD Projekt Red development team received death threats when they announced in 2020 the delay of release of Cyberpunk 2077 to December to addressed these issues.

I have no issues with TFP pushing their release dates back as long as they are 1) working on updates, 2) eliminating as many issues as they can that arise during those updates, and 3) not burning out their staff to meet an arbitrary date in time.  Based on what we see and hear, 1, 2, and 3 are being met.

So no, we are not small minded just because we don't rake TFP over the coals just because they miss target dates.

Then why did they put out a roadmap? The attitude from this site is : shutup about the roadmap...it was only to fool people into thinking TFP were actually going to finish the game soon...not to actually say WHEN they were going to do that. TFP are blameless...for anything and everything.

Thirteen years in development, they have said they were close to going gold in 2019 and 2021 but...I am rushing them?

You seem to have avoided answering my last exchange with you to skip to this. why?
