I find it depressing that I still can't play on dedicated Servers w/ my PS5. Is this canceled or does it just take longer to implement?

Unless I am misunderstanding your question, the announcement included this line:

"This will open up crossplay between PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC clients, however no dedicated servers just yet. (Once the branch goes Stable.)"

So, I am guessing next year sometime, hopefully.

Definitely not canceled; crossplay dedicated servers are being worked on still (red tape and all of that), but steam/console crossplay is more ready to go, so we figured it's better than nothing at the moment :)

@Hated In the near future when there's free time, do you think y'all can look into the Night Vision Goggles (NVG) visual bug that exclusively plagues the Xbox version. I know you and the entire team are very busy right now, but sometime in the near future when there's free time that doesn't take away from developing more important things for the game, I'd be super grateful. And to make a long story short, whenever you turn-on the NVG on the Xbox version, it has these black square spots all over the screen that never go away which has been there since 1.0 released back in July.

Thanks for keeping us informed, can't wait to play v1.2...cheers!  :yo:

They have to get approval from Sony and Microsoft for any cross play.  They have gotten it for P2P, but apparently still are working on the approval for servers.

The screen flicker seems to mainly happen when riding the bicycle, can't tell if it's when rendering in further structures since it's doing that almost constantly.  Seems to be rendering in distance differently than b14.
I just fixed this one. Should be in next exp update.
Was hard to track down as it was a stale position value in vehicle camera code after a world origin shift happened.

...As for some constructive feedback...

Any ETA for wardrobe, weather, bio progression for the rest of the road map Q4 update?

Any world on glitch drone fix so if it glitches we don't lose access to drones unless you start a new world?

As a positive I am looking forward to random maps on consoles.

If you read or search, faatal already posted about that here. 2.0 is Storms Brewing I would have to imagine, so next year.

Kinda vague info on the bottom of page 171 in another topic. So sometime 2025. Of anyone has a closer estimate I appreciate the knowledge

So you aren't happy with what a literal dev stated? If that's what he said who is gonna say any different?

Obviously, if there is a bug, they'll try to get it fixed.  Yes, some bugs don't get fixed quickly, depending on how hard it is to track down the cause of the bug or if the bug has very low impact or effect and other bugs are more serious and need to be fixed first.  But they will still work to fix verified bugs and saying it'll take until Q3 next year is pretty ridiculous.  The whole point of experimental is to find such bugs in the new version and to fix them before stable.

As far as the roadmap, Storms Brewing has been verified as being pushed back until after the new year.  That's all the info they have provided, so no one can give more information unless a dev posts updated information.  It's unlikely to be far into 2025, though.  My rough estimate is that the 2.0 experimental version will come out in mid-January and then we'll have around a month for testing before stable.  But that's just my guess based on past time frames.  Of course, if there are too many issues with 1.2 and they need to do a 1.3 version, which they said could happen, that could get pushed out even further.

Predicting "q4/25" is a sarcastic critique of TFP's way to not deliver on time. While I and most players of 7D2D are fine with it after we got used to it, it doesn't mean everybody has to have the same opinion, critique is allowed here and please hands up who never used sarcasm in this forum. This person is the only one who may be able to critizise that first-time poster.

Hello,
I would like to report that the 1.2 version is really good.
But unfortunately the version doesn't work on my PC.
And yes, I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling
the game. Unfortunately it doesn't work.
The game always stops at the loading screen and doesn't
continue. Greetings Dracondor

There is a button in red above here that allows you to report bugs Alternatively there is the Support section if you first want to check if the problem isn't somewhere else (for example a problem that occured while installing the update). But no matter where you post, without a logfile nobody can find the bug or help you.

Thanks guys! It's nice to get some reassuring. Sorry for the depressing tone!

I've made some bad experiences witch announcements and the reality in games over the years. People in general often say one thing but do another. This always confuses me.

If this is a preview of what server owners will have to deal with once crossplay is set to go can the DEV's please make a block button or selection to block Consoles. I don't want to have to deal daily with a bunch of snotty brats always complaining about the game and it's mechanics.

Okay, I'm not sure if this is the so called BIOS microcode issue or something else.

1.1 ran fine, but 1.2 gives me this.

I've uninstalled, cleaned up directories, and reinstalled - same thing.

Bug or BIOS issue ?

Never had a game that required a BIOS update - something I'm not real comfortable doing.
