Obviously, if there is a bug, they'll try to get it fixed. Yes, some bugs don't get fixed quickly, depending on how hard it is to track down the cause of the bug or if the bug has very low impact or effect and other bugs are more serious and need to be fixed first. But they will still work to fix verified bugs and saying it'll take until Q3 next year is pretty ridiculous. The whole point of experimental is to find such bugs in the new version and to fix them before stable.
As far as the roadmap, Storms Brewing has been verified as being pushed back until after the new year. That's all the info they have provided, so no one can give more information unless a dev posts updated information. It's unlikely to be far into 2025, though. My rough estimate is that the 2.0 experimental version will come out in mid-January and then we'll have around a month for testing before stable. But that's just my guess based on past time frames. Of course, if there are too many issues with 1.2 and they need to do a 1.3 version, which they said could happen, that could get pushed out even further.
