Some mods have instructions to put in mods folder in one location... some instructions it's the other. Does it matter... why is this the case?
The official recommendation is for them to be placed in appdata. Some mods have continued to use the original game location even after that recommendation was made a couple years of so ago. Currently, both locations work. However, there may come a time when the game stops reading the game folder location, so it is just better to use the appdata location. Some mods have instructions to put in mods folder in one location... some instructions it's the other. You need to set the UserDataFolder for each game to a different location. It might even be useful to have them in the same main location but in subfolders...How does it work for us who have multiple copies of the game installed.
If I put mods in appdata wont they load in any game I start?
Right now I have 3 different folders on C drive with different mods in each one. If I put mods in appdata won't the same mods load in each game.
And if I use the UserDataFolder in the serverconfig.xml file in each game to set the folder for the mods will that use the folder I set it to?
On top of what riamus mentioned. How does it work for us who have multiple copies of the game installed.
