PC Bear/Wolf drops seem too much

Ignoring that its a game mechanic and there's no logic to a bear dropping ammunition, or 4x4 chassis, I killed a few zombie bears, then checked the xml and was quite surprised.

For baseline, here's stuff most of you probably knew, but getting it out there.

Zombies drop yellow bags, 2% of the time (before any modifiers).  These are 'normal' drops.  EntityLootContainerRegular

Cops drop blue bags instead, which are EntityLootContainerStrong.  These are 2% for normal cops, 3% for ferals and rads.

Demos drop red bags, the best, EntityLootContainerBoss, at a very rewarding 30% drop rate.  These have the most and best loot, and can include vehicle parts or super corn.

Ok, cut to our new animals.

Baby Bears drop yellow bags at 30% rate.

Normal Bears drop blue bags at 50% rate.

Zombie Bears drop red bags at 50% rate.

Dire wolves drop blue bags at 30% rate.

Its kind of absurd.  I drove through the wasteland, stopping to kill every bear or wolf I saw, and in about 10 minutes I had over 1000 ammo of various types, after replacing what I shot.

Why do zombie bears have a higher drop rate of the same loot compared to demos?  I never felt like they were more dangerous.  Faster, sure.  But no armor.  I can drop them easily with a couple headshots from an SMG. They're also ridiculously common once you get to the wasteland.  My current char is ~75 and I still don't have the Demo perk completed, but i've killed dozens and dozens of bears/zombie bears just for the leather.

And, as a side gripe, the bags that drop from bears/zombie bears are typically hidden inside the corpse.  You have to harvest it to get to the bag, or even see that one dropped.

Anyway, maybe cut these from 50% back to like maybe 25% and the 30% to 15% or 20%.  I can get ammo faster than I can mine, mix, smelt and produce ammo of my choice.

Yeah, this is one of the dumber changes in the latest patch for me. I didn't even check the rates, just looked to see what they actually dropped. Same bags as normal zombies which makes no sense. Definitely will be removing it in WL. The fact they drop a bag at all is silly, the type of loot and how often they drop one is just dumb.

It's a game so it doesn't bug me too much in terms of dropping but it should be lower or lesser loot

Killed 2 mountain lions and 1 bear, all 3 dropped loot. loot stage 193, game stage 240 and this is what they dropped among the 3, yes, that's 4x4 parts.

This sort of kind of depends on what level you're at. If you were like me on day 2 and decided to go hunt a bear because you needed food, you shouldn't be surprised you were at one quarter of your hit points while butchering the bear.

Not motivated to do it again either.

It's true that bears do have a high item drop rate, but in the current vanilla game, by the time you're able to kill bears easily, you no longer need the meat and leather that they drop, so I think this was done to somehow create an incentive to hunt bears and other creatures.
I don't like this change either, but there's no doubt that this implementation will be the default and future implementations will move forward, so I don't plan on discussing my personal preferences at length.

Since there are challenges for killing them, there is already incentive.  There shouldn't be a much higher drop rate of bags from animals in a game that is really about killing zombies.

That's true, and I also don't like the change to make animals drop bags. As long as you have knife butchering, I think the items you can get from animals should appear when you butcher them.
However, when the magazine system was added, I saw someone make a comment along the lines of, "Once it's implemented (no matter what objections there are), it will become the norm."
When I saw that, I gave up on submitting any critical opinions.

They just removed the change that prevented co-op players from gaining tiers together, so that isn't exactly true.  But it depends on the change.  Working that requires a ton of work to implement, like magazines, won't go away but could get some minor changes.  Something that didn't require a ton of work has more chance of changing.  That is to be expected, though.

Since bags are a minor change, they could remove them if there were enough people giving good reasons to do so.  But since it isn't really a big deal, they'll probably just adjust drop rates.

Yeah, who would want to spend tons of time and resources to build a sophisticated base to farm demolishers now as we have plenty of bears wandering around on the streets dropping the same red loot bags with higher chance
