I've recently returned to 7 Days to Die. I likely haven't played since Alpha 19, so I was keen to dive back in. On to my issue:
Whether I play single player, or multi player, I get crippling FPS lag/rubber banding/stuttering commonly when I'm near to a trader. It can happen in other areas, but certainly hits me more when I'm playing in multi player. Now I've tried the common things suggested such as v-sync or dynamic mesh to no avail.
However I have found a "solution" that boggles my mind: as soon as I stream to a friend on discord, all of the lag vanishes entirely and I'm left with a silky smooth gameplay experience. Now I'd rather not bother everyone and all on my friend's list when I want to play some SP, but I'm lost as to what's causing this besides something in the memory not being released until there's extra stress on the system?
For reference I'm running:
Windows 11 Pro
32GB Ram
i7-13700K
Nvidia RTX 4080 - drivers are up to date, but this occurred several weeks ago on older driver sets as well.
Cheers!
