Guppy's Fire Mod

Yeh so one of the things sCore does is prevents the NRE's from popping up your console.  I had several I didn't even know about. :)

Added a water bucket object for Not Medieval Mod.  There aren't any loot tables using it so you'll have to pull it from creative, make your own recipes, etc.

Been testing the water bucket on a dedi, the 2nd player doesn't always see the particle, or hell even the player animation, but that seems to be a TFP thing.  Ah well.

Hey Gup, did you create a new repair kit to repair the flamethrower and fire extinquisher? I'm unable to repair these.

<property name="RepairTools" value="RepairKitAutomaticRifles"/>

No sure didn't; if you make any changes lemme know what you changed and I'll push your fix.
I changed the "RepairKitAutomaticRifles" to "resourceRepairKit" - now the fire extinguisher and flamethrower can be repaired.

I also noticed that the fire extinguisher doesn't use up CO2 when used. I'll mess around with that as well.

So yeh the ammo is necessary for it to function the way it does, but my vision never has it available to find.  Like a regular extinguisher, once it's out it's out.  You can refill it from a tank in real life, so I could create a workbench that then requires all that jazz, but I won't.

Then it gets too deep.  Finding smaller tanks with just co2, well they might as well be fire extinguishers.

...but I'll update the repair kit for the flamethrower.

O_O That was the coolest thing I've seen yet, haha!  Well done!

Would be a shame if one of these appeared near some explosive gas barrels lol...

Fixed (I think) NRE when using the water bucket.  The correct unity3d file is now present.  Grab the latest. 😃

Fixed more crap (stuff failed silently but it was annoying to see once pointed out, thanks Josh), added some future coming up stuff like the foundation for zombies that die being burned will spawn into burnt zombies (that bit ain't ready yet), and added some colored flames for Josh.

Hey Guppycur - loving the mod still - what do i need to adjust to lower the likelyhood of finding fire extinguishers - they seem to be appearing all over the place in my loot...

Ta.

Loot xml, right now I'm using a very_low probability template but I'm sure that can be adjusted.  Maybe remove it from a few loot groups as well, or lower the % chance in those groups.

I suppose we could add empty extinguishers. 😃

Some overhauls are beginning to add fire to their mods though, so that may change your mind about "too many".

In other news:

I've begun working on a new campfire system, it's not ready for prime time yet so don't bother.

I've redone how buckets work and it's a lot cleaner.  Left click to toss the water, Right click to refill a bucket.

I've also added smaller extinguishing events for murky jars and boiled jars, these are for testing.

Hy, please let me ask someting. I n my opinion the idear of the mod is great. I have some fear to install it and first I wand to ask. In the video I see the fire moves out of controll and we must fast clean with water. Please let us see following case. A player that is angry about the community comes and makes a fire on our base at a time where no one is there. What happens in this case? will the hole base be destroyed? Can the fire move from one building to a other and so the hole city destroyed? After the fire is there a simple way to repair all? I am not sure if you discuss this in the past or if there a methode in the mod to cancel a worst case scenario. Can you please explain me this? Best regards

Thanks man - understood.

I guess you're right - It was mentioned by the guys I play with on our private server, but I guess the complaints about finding too many may very well disappear once folks find themselves... well... On fire... 😉

After watching jamesandmichelle on Twitch this past weekend, that fire mod was AMAZING!  I am really looking forward to seeing how it can be used.  👍

Yet another question (Sorry Gup) - Will anything flammable cause the fire to start proccing? EG attacks with fire modded weapons or incindiery rounds from other mods?
