In the loosest sense of "comeback". So loose, in fact, that you might even say that in A21 there will still be no learn by doing. :)

So....were not getting our own rings to combine our powers?  Color me disappointed....😅

Madmole will tell us that 3D Realms bought TFP and A21 will be released ... when it's done.

Guh, oh please not again.

There was a time during 16.4 when 75% water maps were a thing.   I'd really rather not go back to that being a thing again lol.

I wouldn't mind if they had generation options that allowed archipelago maps, large islands (like used to be the case), N/S or E/W strips of land, and other variations.

EDIT: And one large mountain "volcano" with a large crater in the center and possibly winding tunnels leading to bedrock would be nice.

Honestly.... this sounds like ideal DLC

See you're offering something were the the intersection between water and environment actually makes sense.  I never came across an archipelago type thing on most of those maps, but if I had I'd be eyeballing the hell out of it.  I would lobby that if such a thing were to come to pass, we definitely need rafts or canoes for that.  Also, fish would be nice as well.  One of my fave spots to build in ARK:SE, is the Archipelago in Ragnarok.   Bring back (upgraded) sharks as a balance option.

But I dream...   *wistful sigh*

My guess would be that MM and his art team are designing a casino district for the Duke to reside in and also give the shiny dukes an origin in the world.

Also more police stations or even a police district to give all those zombified cops are former workplace and deal with all the crime resulting from gambling 😉

Madmole is working on a mod that will convert a 7DTD game world into a 3D version of the game Othello with a maximum of 1 player.

:p

The only thing that would surprise me is ; (1) VR + Wearables, then that would be realistic as only the fit would survive.

Take it one step further (actual intelligence and intuitions, ability to macgyver your way into repairs., actual have to review schematics infer learning to perform repair items.   Depending on your abilities the quality of repairs and such maybe can translate to some real-world knowledge?? and/or quality of repairs based on items available/their quality that choose to do the repair.

Maybe can separate the weak (mental/physical) from those actually prepared.   Maybe take the game back to just pre-apocalypse stage just day of / before $h1t goes south.   Then having to really compete with PC/NPC's in chaos mode and decision (uncertainty) impacting changes for survival.

That is when society really breaks down in the first 3 days after a disaster.   Let's face it if you are alive at the phase of the apocalypse in which 7D's starts, your changes are already greatly improved for survival than the first 3 days, less people fighting for scarce resources at that point.

One life to live and game over (mode).

Just saying.
