PC Please REMOVE the Strip Club POI

No.  Just no.  With so much wokeness and over the top political correctness today and people wanting to desperately virtue signal to their peers for some sort of "feel goodness", i'm going to go the opposite route to balance it out.  Tired of it all.  I'm a father of daughters as well and I don't care, my wife doesn't care, and neither do my daughters, who are of the age to make their own decisions in life.  Stop trying to change the world to your liking... it's a game made by "The Fun Pimps" if that eluded you.

If this was a gameplay mechanic I would have have that debate, but this is a game rating debate. Devs decide that. I personally don't want anyone's art to be restricted based on a minority of people that won't deem it acceptable.

Allow creative expression or you risk making creators second guess everything they do, and in turn water it down until we get a homeopathic dose of a zombie apocalypse.

Well said. It doesnt matter whether or not I agree if we should have strip clubs, "women in cages", Munchez Carpets, or the mens @%$# bar - I cant remember the name, (etc).

I doesn't write stip club is wrong. I wrote this could be banned is some countries. And zombie teens are controversial too and could be banned in some contries but still they add stip but not zombie teens. 

In some older games devs was forced to even cut "dirty" jokes. So law works strange. it doesn't even need to nudity. Even sex doll can be reason why game can be banned ( one of mw games because there is a sex doll)

And? Why are you going on about "what if's" in regards to possible bans by countries? You really going to walk on eggshells over that and restrict creativity, content, and a bit of fun over worrying about some other country might "ban" the content? Pretty sure China and North Korea will ban anything regardless of your feelings or intent.  Nothing to get worried over.

We know nudity can lead to bans or changes. There is nothing strange or random about this.

But there is no nudity in this POI, the POI is not naked, the zombies are not naked.

A sex doll has a strong likeness to a nude person. Still much more than a sign on a house.

 
TFP knows what lines they can't cross in order to keep international markets open to them. Everyone can just settle down. What's in the game isn't going to cause a problem and what is not in the game that would cause a problem won't be added. Going forward, if a major market were to change policies that might cause the game to be banned then the developers would make their decision on whether to keep the content or cut it.

Well not only this - jokes , some activities even "posters" or slogans. I will tell how sometimes law is stupid- in my country few years ago you coudn't cut down tree on your ground without permission. Logical. 

But if thiefs cutted this tree - you must pay a fee. why? because cutting tree need permission. I know this sound stupid  but it was true.

So strange things can happens.

I know about that. just sometimes law is just stupid. Like in some countries cartoons with smoking characters are banned. In Czech republic one of episode of popular cartoon were banned because main charactere were making hooch. XD 

Honestly - i hate stupid  law and i hope players in new zeland , australia , germany will someday start protesting to eliminate stupid  laws connected with games

I never heard of this, but it might be easy to explain: If a land owner wanted a tree cut on their ground they just cut the tree and told everyone it was a thief. So that that excuse doesn't work anymore the government probably made it law that the land owner has to prove it really was a thief, otherwise he has to pay. That is just pragmatic if most trees are really cut by land owners than thiefs

We was thinking that but... nope XD. okay - thief cut a tree and steal the wood - this is criminal case.

 Tree was cutted- administrative case.  

So they can even find a thieft and proofs but.. this doesn't matter because it was diffrent "case"

So 1 thing - 2 cases.

More stupid things: 

The cheaper option was for some time to make a computer, transport them to Germany and back to shop to Poland that sell this in shop directly. 

For long time was stupid regulation - if you had a shop and you didn't sell something you coudn't give for example bread. why? because if you give this too him him you need to pay tax. But if you put this same bread on rubbish bin and someone will take this was tax-free. 

A lot of thing connected with traffic law : in some places there were " paradox" sitation - no matter what you do you will break a law and get fee. People  file a complain to court but this was pointlesss because court tolds this is lawful. So people forced  local governament to change this places in few cases. 

So this doesn't have sens but it was a law. 

 
I would prefer to leave stripper POIs in the game because frankly, zombie strippers are hysterical.

Come on, who didn't laugh when those zombie strippers chased the pervs out of the strip club in the opening scene of Zombieland?

However, for those who desire, I think some parental controls in the main menu could be helpful.

And as always...

ZOMBIE FAT ELVIS PLEASE!

I've been considering this post for some time but on seeing some of the A20 previews it seems like they are making more variations on this POI and therefore time to step up.

Note, I am the father of young women who love this kind of game. But I dont feel comfortable with the mysoginistic imagery of the Strip Club. Corpes of women in cages exaserbate the impact of a place that is all about objectification of women.

A test for this sort of thing, in my mind, is to consider if the game was designed by women would the POI have made it in. Fairly sure it wouldn't.

I do sense that TFP's do have some awareness of the issue. Female characters are getting better outfits; Stripper has actual clothes, nurse getting a typical gender neutral outfit rather have some cliche from the 50's (although every female character now has very large breasts which is also a real image issue for women). 

Please consider this feedback seriously. While the expectation is that the games market is male why put up barriers to females. More players equals more sales and a better community.

and yes if you didn't know stripe clubs are a thing ya know. i got like 7 of them around were i live, its not my cup of tea but oh well.

also the game is rated M for mature. Your fine with Trader bob being a @%$#, heads being chopped off, Killing dogs, But a place called "the boobie trap" OH THAT TOO MUCH!

The "strip clubs and sex work are demeaning to women"  cracks me the f up.  I was getting 50 bucks an hour to model nude for an art class in college.  As an actual feminist who knows what the word actually means, I find this attitude archaic and demeaning.  Who are you to judge a woman if she sells what she has because a man (or woman) wants to pay her for that service?  Women don't need protection, they don't need anyone hoisting some moral righteous flag about how they are being objectified or demeaned because they have something people (including me) enjoy looking at.  They can't all be rocket scientists and if what they have is a body that won't quit... use what you have. (omgosh let me tell you about that red headed stripper and she had freckles EVERYWHERE!)

As far as strip clubs being in a video game... hmmm They are The Fun Pimps, strip club seems right up their alley.  I have a friend that plays GTA and you can solicit the prostitutes in that game and then rip them off.

I took my hubby and one of his friend's once.  His wife and I went shopping and when we came back the friend was talking to one of the girls explaining how intelligent she was and how he really liked her. I was like wth the other head was obviously suffering from lack of blood supply good grief.

 
We have the strip club, the adult theater.  Still missing the brothel, massage parlor, and Adult Bookstore.  (moar books pls!)

And bring back the real strippers pls. (and make'em  really aggressive ones too)

Course the strippers should have the garter with a few dollar bills stuck in it. 

Mind you, I do NOT suggest lap dances from these dancers.  nope nope nope!
