Darkness Falls: They mostly come out at night...

Sorry if this is in wrong place, am I reading this right.... To make Forged Steel in Darkness falls It can only be made from an advanced forge, but for that I need forge steel to make it.... 

Am I reading that right?

 
I don't think so, no. The server would probably have to remove it as well.

It's not my mod, so it's not something I can fix. You either have to delete it, use Proton, or use Windows.

 
I didn't ment you to fix it, i was just asking. I just wondered, why it worked under windows but not under linux. And i'm somehow interested into how a mod can cause this.

 
Oh, I know you werent, I just wanted to make sure people knew that. :)

I also don't know why it's fine on windows but not Linux, and sadly don't have the source files to try and work it out. I may see if I can reverse-engineer and fix it later. Still got my Ubuntu 20.04 dual boot on here for testing.

 
Hello everyone, I have this problem: I started a quest for the builder class. And I do not continue beyond the first mission. Can I fix this somehow? Can he start the quest again through the console? Sorry for my bad english.

Can you give a console command to restart the quest?

 
Old-school  returning player.  If i recall when you die on horde night the zombies continue to break down your base. But now they just disappear.  As this may loose the scare factor of death and no real need to restart.  Yes I know you can store your lootz and what not at another location.

But is there anyway suggestion on making the game  more unforgiving on this specific mod?  This may me asking to much but other then that this mod is great 😃

That's something TFP added in vanilla to stop people getting into death loops on bloodmoons.

And yes, I hate it. It's dug pretty deep into the main code of the game though so turning it off is a nightmare.

 
When i run 7D2D normally it uses about 5-6 gigs  of memory (I have 16 gigs). I tried Darkness Falls on a medium map but it was using 14 gigs  plus of memory until it crashed my system.

I have dropped the textures to half and other setting to low or off in some case, but it still uses 11-12G on a medium map when it runs.

I have tried the small map at half settings and that still uses 11 gigs.

I'm not using nitro ,

No other mods,

Page file size is 32 gig.

i have install the mods as per the instructions.

i have deleted all save games,

deleted and and reinstalled the mod with a fresh setup,

No change. I have looked around but i can't find any solution. any help would be great.
 
That's odd. Small maps only use like 6-8GB on my 32GB system.

Try the maps ending with 2. Those don't have compo pack included, which can help with RAM usage.

 
Running through a new playthrough and just put a point into "Robotics Inventor" under mechanic skill tree, which should allow me to build "poor quality" turrets.  But when I check the workbench build menu, the robotic turret is locked, and says I need "Robotics Inventor" to unlock it.  But I already started that tree with putting the first point into it.  Is there something I'm missing, or is this a bug?  Thanks.

 
My workbench is definitely glitching somehow.  I'm making flagstone blocks myself, and it (I think correctly) tells me they cost 4 cobblestone each, or 2 if I make them in the workbench.  But in the workbench I get only one option, and it costs 4 cobblestone per block.  Something sketchy going on?

Did you use the 3.2 version before and then installed 3.3 over it ? (Then you should delete all beside Mods folder and do a fresh 7D2D copy ). The filestructure got changed with 3.3 and old 3.2 files might be still there.

Just tried it myself, 1 point into robotic inventor unlock the robotic sledge turret (the one with the hammer)  but not the robotic turret (the one that shoot).

For the shooting turrets you need level 3 at robotic inventor.

Anyone knows how get reputation for catlin? I do her quests, but rep stays a 0.

Does it make sense at all to get rep there?

Good question, Canute, I should have specified.  I uninstalled everything with 19.2, and reinstalled 7DTD 19.3, and reinstalled the mod using the mod launcher.  Should be clean. 

 
Did you change the name of the Caitlin POI?  I've looked in the files and there are no "Caitlin" POIs in my v3.3.  They existed in 3.2.  I can only find "Eve"  in the DF_Quest_Prefab_03

 
Not sure what's going on with your issue Ryan, it's been ok for me.

Caitlin is dfalls_settlement_trader, same as it has been since A16.
