Except... there's plenty of players who do just in this very thread.
No you guys are not players, you are back seat designers who want a grindy complicated sharp stick fest (well most of you anyway). Players are guys who just bought the game today, and maybe guys who play 20 or 100 hours. You guys are obsessed and have 5000 hours and because of that you want more and more challenge. If you could mind wipe you would just get in and enjoy the game more now than ever but because you are tainted with 18 alphas that cannot be undone. I think the game is way way way way way too easy. But I have 15000 hours so I cannot take my experience and pass that on to a new player. So you have to be smart and watch new players play without coaching them. If they get it you did a good job, if they need wikis and friends coaching them to do everything then you suck and need to change your designs or make it more user friendly.

Anyhow I think it will be better. Instead of punishing players for cooking we're rewarding them. The best foods require canned foods to make and give very nice bonuses, like +40 stamina for 5 minutes. This pretty much makes power attacking more and mining much more enjoyable so for me its a new drive to get the better recipes instead of "oh I won't puke". natural healing is nerfed so you might need to eat for health which puts a dent in your food supply.

At the end of the day its not done and you guys are bored so nit picking this is life right now I guess. I say wait til you play it as a whole with all the changes then judge it.

I don't think you guys understand, that hunger is a tier 1 problem. Survival in the desert will be a tier 2 problem. Survival in the snow will be a tier 3 problem. Survival in the wasteland will be a tier 4 problem. We've properly made food a teir 1 problem that can evolve into  assisting in the higher tiers. A player should not be given a tier 4 problem on day 1. To be clear weather survival is still a complete joke but will get harder in A20.
Thanks for sharing MM, its details like this that will help people understand the bigger picture so they can understand why certain changes are made.

It is another thing that we gonna miss in some good way, but because haven`t seen the proper balanced new one that replaces it, we got grumpy.

It doesn't help that most can't play it right now to see how the change feels.  Just makes the wait even harder.  Speculation and imagination then runs wild lol...

That's why I keep an eye on Twitch. Occasionally a genuinely new player pops up and it's quite enlightening to see the problems they see.

Quite a few changes have been made as a result of such observations.

Ya, it is not about playing it right or wrong, everyone tries to adapt in its own way which is the best part, this game has proven to have given us so many ways of survival, we gonna miss some, no doubt.

It gets worst between the release of the patch notes and players getting some solid hours into the game. (every time)

The over-analysing of every single word in there is mind-blowing. =P

The game lacks an invisible block with a radiation effect.
Create poi with radiation, wasteland with radiation, etc.
whether the addition of such a block is planned?

Please add to the game the model of any boat. Just a model.

You need to add literally 3-4 textures for the storage box. Nothing more is needed.

it will be the best A19

don't know if it's just me, but i feel that the whole food topic is getting old here. i come here to see if there is actually relevant information on the development of the new alpha and all i get to read is about 10-20 pages of one or two individuals complaining because "x" game is better at getting rotten food better/faster etc, when the developer said repeatedly that he is not interested in such feature.

If there were news, the topic would've stopped and moved on already.

Just eat the raw meat, and either use vitamins or cure the dysentry.
That's mostly an SP solution. It does work there, but it's not the one I'm referring.

Meh. Eating glass is the best part of 7dtd. It is not good at all now due to the xp loss after lvl 5 .
I already ruled out suicide and death in general.

Like I said, it's extremely unlikely anyone in this thread will figure it out. The guy that just bought the game today has a better chance of figuring it out than anyone here.

I agree. I was blown away when you guys were releasing A18 saying it'd be much harder, even going as far as lowering the default difficulty to Adventurer and it ended up that current nomad is easier than historical nomad. What happened?

The only thing i agree with MM - is that the game should be good for beginners, and veterans are in second place.  Sadly, this must be admitted.

...but , unfortunately, what they do - do not like any beginners not experienced!  I also watch YouTube and see how perplexed new players are from the madness that is happening.

Well, nothing said here is going to change anything until we’ve actually played it. Objections are noted and let’s see how it is received once in hand. Time to move on from this discussion. Food poisoning and spoilage are back To off topic in this thread.  Please do carry on the debate in GD, if you wish.

Trying to take over my turd record eh?

When I see new players streaming, it's so painful, it should be in the ISS. In general, I think the tutorial system isn't as obvious as it needs to be. New players seem to completely ignore the starter quests, and flail about.

My friend I duo with has over 400 hours in the game and still ignores the starter quest most of the time. It's so hard, I try to explain to him that he needs to place a bedroll down every so often while he's just traveling around, but instead he just zooms off into the distance holding W and looting PoI until he dies, then loses everything he found and starts over. That's literally his first like 3 days in the game, every time we start a new game.

It's shocking how many people don't realize the starter quests give you free trait points and just ignore them for every . . .
